I think there's a good chance that the avatar is not strictly related to the plot, and that it might be expensive. Think of the Free Jhudiah avatar during the MI plot.

Well, considering that the captain asked us to speak with each of the crew and try and patch togther what happened the night of the storm. The avi might be connected with talking to the chef or something he may ask from us during questioning him?

I personally think you are right, and that the avatar is a side-issue.

In which case, is there really nothing plot-wise that we can do right now?

I heard through the grapevine that we need to somehow get some of the letters off the beach, mix them with dung jelly in Jhuidah's cooking pot. Then take the result and your leftover letters from the beach and mix them with you left hand counter clockwise 298.5 turns, then 2222345 turn with your right hand clockwise with your eyes crossed with the chef on the ship. Now the rumor I heard is that you can only do this the first Wednesday of the month so unfortunately we have to waint until next month to be albe to ge the avatar.

THEN you take the avatar back the beach, bury it under the writing in the sand, sit on it until an egg hatches from the avatar and then we will get the next clue to the plot that we have to read while eating steamed speghetti squash.

Hope this helps!
Peace

Dumb Neoboard Rumor of the Day (DNRD):

Clicking on the right eye of the captain 112 times will do something. I didn't read what--it hasn't advanced to that point yet--but doing that shall do something. It just made me  , who is going to actually say "ok, only 111 more clicks!" and count them all?

Not saying this has anything to do with the plot, but it alludes to what Ollie was saying.

Yeah, somehow I came across that Neopedia article days ago, when searching for things related to the chef avi. Played Roo dice, no dice, heh. Even bet in the food club on the Blumaroo pirate, againts all odds, no win.

This is sort of unrelated, I admit, but I didn't want to create a whole new topic on PPT so thought to mention it in passing, in case it is nothing.

Something new I have never experienced before. I know I used to have trouble with the Back button and Java applets with the Wiz page (having to click back quickly twice, to bypass, since I don't accept them) but lately (past 2-3 days) I have noticed clicking back yields a very long cryptic string of letters and numbers directly after the .com/ in the neopets URL, unrelated to all the ads blocked and unrelated to any Java applets. (It happened on the Trading Post just recently, among other times.) It goes so fast I can't even screenie it before it simply stops trying to redirect.

I hope I am not bypassing something I am supposed to be redirected to for the plot? I know some things can seemingly be 'random' occurrence clues. Has anyone else noticed anything else like this happenning? o_O

EDIT: And yes, it is only on neopets; I don't have any spyware.

I have a feeling that Kiko Island will host the mysterious ship sometime soon.

What, by chance, is Ollie's username? I would love to see this background, if only to laugh at it. Also, does he accept friend requests?
