That sounds cool, I'm happy for you! :) I really hope your ears don't get infected, though. I only have one piercing in each ear, which I got done last year, which I'm surprised didn't get infected, because I got them done about a week before my first basketball game because we thought I could just put tape over them, but the referees told me I had to take them out or I wasn't allowed to play. So I sat there crying for the first half, and finally I just went up to my coach and told her I wanted to play so she helped me take them out in the bathroom. They hurt bad when I put them back in, though. But, anyway, good luck with your new piercing!

Yay for you!! I think that's a great place to get pierced. I have one up there too, I actually did it myself with a sterilized sewing needle (Kids, don't try this at home), and I was extremely lucky that it didn't get infected. But I'm super glad I did it, earrings look so cool there.

Cartilage. :)

Congrats! I want that done (I have two in each ear, eventually want to get two or three more in each), but I have yet to locate a reputable piercing place around here, since guns are bad news.

I also want to get snakebites and once I drop twenty pounds (hahahha, good luck Sock) I'm getting my navel done. Septums are another favorite but I've found they look bad on half of the people who decide to get them, so I'm not sure if I could deal with it or not. Also labrets...but I always think too much metal mouth makes your face look crowded, I'd rather get just snakebites than have the three.

Although I haven't really been trying to find said reputable piercing place (I've vaguely heard about a couple but haven't googled). Plus the fact that I have yet to turn 18...ahh, legality...bite me.

I wouldn't mind getting a tiny monroe done but ahh.... it could look really bad on the wrong person. Just make sure that you go to a place where they use needles not guns. Piercing guns = REALLY bad.

I'm either getting my third belly button piercing done or a hip piercing when I get paid. :D I'd love some more ear piercings but mine are really prone to infection so I'm leaving it for a while.

Ooh, hip piercing, that would be cool! If I weighed about half of what I do I'd like to do that - other than being slightly afraid of surface piercings.

Oh, and madonnas and medusas. Eek. You've reminded me of more I love. :) The piercing community on lj is my friend... And you can always put it on your face in paint or something, Helen.

Were your piercings done by needle or gun?
If gun, then you should ask for your money back. They are a health hazard and can pose problems for your cartilage piercings. Plus it leads to the tissue scarring and takes a longer time to heal and is a bit more painful.

You can't ask for your money back if they were done with a gun, haha...it would be a bad idea, but it's still perfectly legal.

Yeah. To really have a refund, well, you'd have to take the earring back out, which would cause a lot of pain which wouldn't be even worth the $5 or $10 it would cost.

It was done by a gun. But it is a licensed proffesional place and it hasn't posed any problems yet.

I doubt they were professional for using a gun in the first place. Anybody can use the gun. Places that use the needles are generally cleaner and have trained professionals.

I got my left lobe done by gun. I only wore it for around a year and then never wore it again. It never healed properly so I still have a small scar.

Plus, it was recomanded by a few people. A friend of my mums had the sam epeicing done there and it turned out fine. She also had her nose done there. All of these people went there while a gun was used, and all of these people peircings were fine.

Piercing Gun Vs The Needle

http://tattoo.about.com/cs/psafety/a/piercing_guns.htm

Generally the type of places that use guns teach their employees how to position the gun and then how to shoot - in no way is that a trained professional. A reputable piercing place is always the better option, and a reputable piercing place would not use a gun.

Don't stress about it or anything but any new piercings you get in the future should be done with a needle. It is just a lot safer.
