I haven't updated my read manga in forever. *noticed pile of books waiting to be posted growing taller and taller* lol
Absolute Boyfriend #1 - I love this series so far.
Yuu Watase's boys are so cute, even if her characters look the same in all her series. lol I can't wait until the second volume comes out.
Di Gi Charat Theater: Dejiko's Summer Vacation
Di Gi Charat Theater: Piyoko is Number One!
Di Gi Charat Theater: Dejiko's Adventure #1
Di Gi Charat Theater: Leave it to Piyoko! #1
I am a Di Gi Charat fan, if you couldn't tell.
The first two were anthologies and pretty good. The last two were the same story throughout, which I liked a bit more. I also prefer the Dejiko stories over Piyoko stories. They seem to have a bit more character, although both are cute.
I just wish Broccoli Books was a bit faster with their publishing.
Digiko's Champion Cup Theater - This book makes me weep. ;_; I love Di Gi Charat, but the translating on this was really bad. It's like Dejiko is speaking in ebonics and it's very painful to read. I wouldn't have continued the book if I wasn't such a fan. It's too bad because the stories themselves were cute.
Fruits Basket #13 - More Fruits Basket.
I can never get enough. lol
The Great Catsby #1 - I actually wasn't going to buy this book, but it caught my eye at the store, so I grabbed it. Turns out I really like it. It's more mature and very interesting. I can't wait to find out what happens.
(It's also full color.)
Guru Guru Pon-Chan #1-4 - Ah, one of my new loves.
This series is great. I had to get used to the art style a bit as it's not my usual cuteness. Book four ends with a cliffhanger that's very mean to do to readers. ;_; The next book needs to come out quicker.
Imadoki! #1-5 - I read this because robot recommended it to me and it turned out to be really nice.
It was short, but sweet and I liked the way it ended.
Inverloch #1 - I don't know if this should be called manga, but it's listed as such, so I will. lol The art is really beautiful. It's all full color. This, like Catsby, was a web comic first. All these great web comics that I've never heard of. lol The first book is interesting and the plot is just starting. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Kamikaze Girls - I liked this book. The story was cute. The extra story was cute, too. I can't wait to read the novel.
Noodle Fighter Miki #1 - I had such hopes for this book.
I was excited to read a book about a girl in a ramen shop. lol Each chapter was like a comedy skit and it didn't come off well in my opinion. The characters seemed flat and some of the comedy wasn't even that amusing, just more of the same over and over. It's really too bad.
Onegai Teacher #1-2 - *So* good.
I recommend this to everyone. I really need to grab the anime. I know it'll be a bit different, but this was just so good.
Read or Die #1-3 - I
this series like I loved the anime. lol A story about books and reading certainly catches my attention. haha It portrays Yomiko differently than in the manga. Her general character is the same, but she seems a bit more out-going in the manga. I only wish this manga was longer as I've heard there aren't many more books.
Scrapped Princess #2-3 - I liked this anime a lot, but the manga was too short for me. It didn't even have much of an ending. I enjoyed what there was of it. It's an interesting tale. Different from the anime, though. Another I can't to wait to read the novel of.
Socrates in Love - This story made me cry. lol I really recommend it. So sweet.
I want to buy it for my friends. lol I can't wait to read the novel.
Sugar Sugar Rune #1-2 - I started this series with the anime, which I like a lot. Then I grabbed the manga. I love both a lot.
It's another of my new favorites.
That's it for now!
