I have mixed feelings about the Faerie Tuska. On one hand, it's beautifully drawn, the color combination is great and unusual for Faerie, and I like how the wings look like fins more than butterfly or insect wings. On the other hand, I'm not sure how I feel about a fiery color scheme on a Neopet that's based on an arctic, aquatic animal. I would have liked to see this in deep greens and blues, or even a pastel blue and white before settling on warm colors.

Oooooh. That's tempting, though.

Haha, when I first saw it I definitely thought it was Maraquan...then I read it's Faerie? Can't be a good sign.. The face markings and hair just looks strage to me. And I think the wings look much too...watery.

Haha, I thought it was Maraquan too. We were both wrong. :P But I'm pretty sure the wings looke "watery" because Tuskaninnies are swimmers.

Yeah me too - had to double check ;)

The tail gives the illusion that the Tuskaninny is floating - as if in water. Also I forgot they even had tails, and assumed it was added on to make it look aquatic :P

I dunno - I just imagined a big fat seal with a big bum instead of a tail...

I think it should be a cross between a fire and a maraquan paintbrush (imagine how much that would cost!!).

I actually like the pastel faerie pets.

But you have to take into account the the faerie koi and flotsam are two of the ugliest pets and worst faeries on the site. Different can be good, and in this case, great. Besides, I doubt they'd ever make a Maraquan tuska because of the redundancy factor.

The flotsom and koi were the only faerie pets that used the "add random fins like wings" formula.

The placement on the body makes the fin-wing thingys look like giant ears.

Anyone else getting an HR Puff 'n' Stuff sort of feel here? All it needs are some long eyelashes!

Bravo to the artists for not making it all pinkypurpley and gooey!

It's all context, Keylia -- put it next to some pastel faeries and it look out of place, but next to some others, it fits in fine:

I like the more non-traditional faerie pets, anyway.

Hm. Those look really nice together. Good for people who like to have matching accounts. :3
