Hey everyone! I was posting as I just received a strange NeoMail . . . I haven't been playing Neopets that much this summer (been really busy, and the computer's been acting rather wonky). However, this was a NeoMail I just received from The Neopets Team, and I know it is official (they even have the "Your Lupe a Splode" avatar):

Due to a glitch this past weekend we made an adjustment of 267000 NP to your bank account. We hope this has not caused you any problems and thank you for your support of Neopets, now and in the future.

I read the other thread where someone lost their Neopoints, but presumably due to a hacker or scammer. What is up with this?

I just got the same message, but the amount was 19000, I am really confused by this as well, considering I had won a scratchcard for 25k and spent 6k on a book for a quest my brother was doing, so I don't understand where this glitch came from. Should we write tnt about this and question the so called glitch they are referring to?

If you're a Premium user with a username beginning with a number, an A, B, C or D, and you have more money than you think you should, don't spend those neopoints! TNT will most likely come get them back.
There's also a lot of reminders on the Premium boards about reporting the glitch to TNT and that one can get frozen for exploiting a glitch. (i.e. spending the NPs)

People on the Neoboards are saying non-premium members are getting this neomail as well. But my "c"-named account hasn't been affected (granted, I only have 2k on that account...), so who knows what's going on.

I got the neomail too... 86000 np removed.

I woke up one morning with the extra, but since I'd been up late the night before and I couldn't remember if I'd deposited the np after emptying my till; I wasn't sure it was a glitch or just me being a flake. So I just deposited it.

I just hope they don't think I was trying to cheat

BTW I have premium and my username begins with B. Also I didn't get the normal monthly np reward mail.

Ya know, I THOUGHT that there was quite a bit more NP in my pocket than before, but I figured I'd just emptied my shop till and forgot. After a weekend out of town, I couldn't remember what I'd done last week.

Well, at least I have the NP to cover it, but what a bummer!

Darn no extra NP for me

I like when there's a glitch and they let you keep whatever it is. (rare I know but i got some nice extra items with the glitch that gave you an extra item when they where moved from was it your SDB or Trades.... ) Hope those with extra get to keep some of it tho

nice small bonus are nice.

The Neopets Team has the TNT avvie. Your lupe a splode can be obtained by 'Lose a 2-player battledome fight with your own Lupe OR fight the 1-player challenger Balthazar and lose.'

I haven't seen any extra neopoints either, but then I suppose it's a good thing since getting that kind of money then losing it again would majorly suck.

This makes me feel 40 kinds of sad. Damn. Well atleast it wasn't like that glitch which gave people access to others accounts. I guess this was one of the bigger downsides of being premium.

Holy crap. They deducted over 400K from your bank? Was that extra.. or did you have that already? Thats pretty messed up if you earned that and they took it away.

I already had some of it. I had around 320k in the bank, then I got 300k more, and I was like, what the hell? So I deposited the 300k and took out around 200k to buy a pb on the TP, but I never touched the NP they gave me. So I got the pb, and all of a sudden this happened and they took their np and the np I earned! Can they do that?!?

That's just wrong. And scary. I'm tempted to invest my NP in stocks and paint brushes so they can't take any of it. O_o And I didn't even "discover" any extra NP over the weekend.
