I know what the FFQ is and how it works, but I have been hearing some rumors about how FFQs are given out:

1) Completing a lot of faerie quests gives you a better chance of getting a FFQ
and/or
2) The older your account is, the more likely you are to get a FFQ
and/or
3) The more often you donate to the Money Tree, the more likely you are to get a FFQ

Is there any truth to any of these rumors? I always assumed it was totally random, but now I'm thinking perhaps I should do a faerie quest now and then (currently I always refuse them).

None of the above really applies to me and I have had THREE fountain faerie quests.

I've probably done 90% of my normal faerie quests, and I have a 70 month old account.
And I have never, ever gotten a FFQ before. On the other hand, my hubbie, who has a 4 month old account and had never gotten a normal faerie quest, got one, so I'm fairly sure that length of time and faerie quest completion percentage doesn't really figure into it.

I got one a few months ago and I hadn't been getting a lot of quests at the time or giving anything to the tree, but my account is over 5 years old. I didn't even at the time realize who the quest was for until after I had done it either.

I'm fairly sure that a editorial in the past few months blew three out of the water, and stated that there was no good luck bonus for donating to the money tree, and that people were trying to con others into getting rid of valuable items.

I have a 68 month old account, and I have NEVER gotten a Fountain Faerie Quest.

I've asked a couple of times about the increase of getting one by doing every faerie quest. It's false, I believe.

Age and donating frequency have nothing to do with it. I do believe that completing faerie quests rather than refusing them does better your chances, only because when you refuse one you can't receive another for a short period.

I would kill for a FFQ, I have a 49 month year old account, and haven't gotten one... I would love one. I wouldn't mind Booci either lol.

I have noticed that newer accounts seem to get FFQ. I mean, look at all of you above. Or not you, but someone you posted about. They had young accounts, and you on old accounts haven't had one.
In my 5 years of Neopets, I have only had one FFQ. That was only after my main account was frozen and I had to make a NEW account. So therefore the account was young. And on my 5 year old account right now I have never had a FFQ. Either its just a huuuuge kawinkydink or something is wrong here.

I say death to the newbies! Nah jk, but I te seems that's the case... We should do an experiment. Like, we should each create a new account, and try to see if we can get one on it... Or something.

Well, actually, that sounds like a good idea. But I dont want TNT to think im cheating or something because I have my limit of accounts.

I wouldn't be surprised, though maybe annoyed, if I went onto my 40 month old backup account and got an FFQ on that one.

Ah, good to hear I needn't do a thing. ^_^ Though I doubt I will get lucky anytime soon, I can hope that it'll happen sometime in my Neopian career! Actually, I'm almost depending on it, in a way: I keep a space open on my main account in hopes that I can spare myself the expense of buying a fourth paint brush - if a FFQ shows up, I'll create the fourth and final pet specially to have the fairy paint it. I've had this account 8 months with no luck, but I'm not in a hurry...
