Someone asked about Neoquest II in the Avatars board, and I said:
Please post this in the Neoquest board. There are more people who will help you there.
And I got a warning about posting Chain Letters!

I'm looking at this and trying to see what word would have set off a filter for you to get that warning. I can't find anything! Maybe it was the word post? Makes no sense, but neither did the warning.
And I really do think there's something "off" with warnings lately. Alot of people are getting really weird warnings for chain letters, outside links, etc. when they haven't posted anything like that.

That's what set off the filter. Pretty stupid of TNT, really.

OK, Tonu I am going to agree with you. I thought it was just the word post, didn't think about the "please post this" phrase.
I'm now sitting here wondering, if people are getting warnings for that phrase, how all those
chain letters get posted all over the place -- and those people don't get warnings!

that's scary, no matter how many times you heard about such cases...neoboards are a fatal attraction. you are so tempted to post on it but such incidents have to happen, which is a shame.

I think it wa the "post this in" part. Most chain letters go "Post this in 10 different boards, go to faerie land.."

I'd agree that it's the "post this in" part that set it off. -.0 I remember once I posted "post this in 10 message boards and you'll see that nothing happens and you get warned" and I got a warning for that. xD

Now I don't want to be contradictory or a pain in the butt, but didn't shroomy say that there are no bots that do something like that?
I find it hard to believe that a human moderator could be this stupid. *bites tongue as to not follow up with inappropriate political comment*

I spent half the night last night finding inventive ways of saying "I think you have to hit the obelisk to get the av" in the boards.. I thought it was te word "hit", but I posted that single word fine. Someone said it was posting a word that ends with "s" before the word "hit", but I did that, too. And then later, I typed the EXACT same phrase, and it went through. Filters are way off, I think.

Touche coming2. I recall being told there wasn't any bots. Hmm... maybe there are in the neochat.. or maybe the monitors are wired to only read the first few words... I tend to do that when reading emails when I feel overwhelmed @_@

I think there have to be bots. We were told there were only about 15 moderators, and there's no way they could give out as many warnings as people receive. Plus way too many people get warnings for words or phrases that have nothing actually wrong with them. I could see it being because a mod made a mistake -- every now and then. But this is constant.

I wouldn't worry about it, someone named Shroomy (staff member, apparently) posted and said they handle their freezings by hand (no freezebots). So even if you get a bot response like that, you won't get iced for it...
