I smell a Plot. PLease discuss or explain for all us newbs.

Naw, all i think happened was they wanted to realese the island, but since they had the "Make-A-Wish" girl there, they were obligated to make news for her. Lutari island will be released this week...

I don't think that is true at all, they were not OBLIGATED to do anything, and what they WANTED to do was make her day nice.

Well, ok, not obligated i guess, i mean they chose to do something for here, but i mean...yea, that came out bad...sorry!

Even so, I highly doubt the Make-A-Wish girl randomly said "Let's redo the explore map." She was probably more involved in those 4 muffins and the new petpet.

As for a plot, I don't think there'll be one. It'll only have the Cellphone game accompany its release.

I don't think they'll release Lutari Island until after the Altador Cup is finished. They probably only put it on the map to generate interest for the Infusio tie-in.

sorry but err.. u guys lost me with this whole.. make a wish gurl thing.. is she like some really sick girl whos last wish was to do something with neopets? is she the muffin faiere?

I kind of agree. You get one thing you want above anything else before you die of cancer, and you decide you want to write the news for Neo. I think I would have gone a LITTLE bit bigger than that, but to each her own I guess.

Most make a wish kids are under the age of ten. So I don't think it's such a strange thing if Neopets is her faveorite website. I think it's really sweet actually, perhaps she just wanted to spend the day in the neopets office and getting to create things on the site was a bonus for her? I doubt very much her wish was "to write the neo news" but more likely " to spend the day in the neopets HQ and meet all the staff"

I don't wish to cause any upset, but I think the tone of some of the poeple posting in this board is slightly...off.

Firstly, it's not 'before you die of cancer' it's any child who is terminally ill or who is suffering from a life-threatening disease.

Secondly...who are we to say anything about anyones last wishes? If that made that little girl happy then FAIR PLAY, she deserves to be happy for a day if her body is being ravaged by an uncontrollable disease.

Thirdly it's not about getting as much as you can, it's about doing what you want to do. If she is ill she probably spends a lot of time inside, probably on the computer, probably on neopets, and I don't think we should be judging people on their last wishes.

Sorry, but this has made me really angry.

Yay! exactly right!! I work for MAW, and this is what the mission is about. It doesn't matter if a child wants to go to Disney or wants a laptop, it's all about what the child wants.

Um...back to the question at hand...

I personally don't want a plot with the release of Lutari Island. Is it really necessary, anyway? I mean, come on, we JUST finished a plot. Mini-worlds such as Geraptiku and Kiko Lake were simply released in the news.

I have been thinking about this when I just went for a walk, and I felt a bit worried about my post. I didn't mean to come off sounding irate/bossy/on a high horse, and despite peoples support I feel like I may have come across like this. It's just that things like this always make me feel really sad, and I think children who may not have the chance to live their life as they would without something being wrong with them should be given as much as they can to make the short time they have happy.

I think MAW is a fantastic idea.

Anyway, I won't mention it anymore.
