Help me decide #2. Which Neopet?.

Gender: Female
Personality: Enjoys cooking and baking to a near obsession. Featured in Neopian Times comics.
Petpet: Vaeolus
Petpetpet: ??

I'd probably got with the Royal Kau. Vaeolus' in my mind seem to match better to Royalty than to Pirates and in addition I've never known a Pirate to cook. Haven't really known Royalty to cook either but it seems like an ironic sort of pasttime for Royalty to be cooking (matches the cheeky look on the Kau's face)

I'd go with the royal kau just because the pirate uni looks more like a male to me. The royal-girl kau is obviously female.

If she's a little boyish, I'd say Uni.
If she's not, Kau

Seconded. I looked up the Vaeolus petpet too, it would go way better with a Pirate Uni too. It would simply... look awful next to the Royal Girl Kau... who looks awful enough in her own right.



As for a petpetpet, I would go for either a Flankin or a Scoach. I like the Scoach better, since the Flankin is all-out fiery, but the Scoach, while still having a bit of the Vaeolus' fire, also has a bit of that stealthy Pirate look.

Excellent!. Thank you very much. Both are excellent matches. I think I'm going to have to go with the Scoach, eventually. It's just too cute and reminds me of something I saw/read in one of those Harry Potter games/books.

I'd pick pirate uni for other reasons also, just seems to fit better.

I believe the names of the creatures would be either "Blast-Ended Skrewt" or "Fire Crab". Although I don't think they particularly go in elaborate detail as to what these things actually look like, the Harry Potter (Sorcerer's Stone) game for PC has a bunch of these little buggers implemented all over Hogwarts that you have to wack up on. They'd probably look more like the Blast-Ended Skrewts though.

Pirate Uni, definately. The royal kau is just... ugly.. In my opinion, she should have been drawn anthro. I mean Kougra, uni etc. look good quad, but imagine a real life kau in a frilly dress on all fours chewing its cud out in the field. Royal kau looks like that, only worse... x.x

I actually have a very vivid picture of an anthro royal kau in my mind... So pretty x.x

But the current one stinks so stay away from it xDDD



So even if the pirate uni looks a bit masculine, if she's going to be drawn for NT comics you can draw her more feminine. I think it would look really cool if you drew a pirate uni with a more girly face, maybe holding a bowl full of batter and stirring it so hard that it's splashing out xDDDD

And yea, Vaeolus and scoach are good choices... definately the scoach anyway, maybe a fire cyodrake instead of vaeolus though.

Eee, I really like your suggestion!. Yeah. After looking at the Royalgirl Kau for a long time I
decided it wasn't the pet for me. ):

That Cyodrake is really cute though. T_T This makes it even worse.
See, for a very long time I've been really attatched to Darigan Kougras and the Pirate Uni
was just a sudden "zomgilike!". Y'anno?.

I was thinking about replacing the female pirate uni with a male darigan kougra, but giving
the kougra a more softer side just as I'd do with the pirate uni for
NT comics and such. They'd share the same personalities, but
I just.. I don't know anymore!. D:

That Cyo/Scoach combination really could change my mind though. XD Of course, I'm sure it wouldn't
look too bad on a Darigan Kougra as well. Just wouldn't have the same effect though. ):

I know they don't exactly match except for a select few, but they would for what I had in mind. Brown petpet would look good because I plan on adding some decorative touch to the character anyway, which would be
something simple like a collar just to give it snazz for the NT-- the Babaa would match.
Since the personality of the pet isn't evil or scummy as the Pirate or Darigan image may depict, a Babaa seemed to add that.. flare to it?. Lamb and the lion kinda?.
The Scoach with the Darigan petpets seem to match more because they both share some red to them.
Custard petpets is because of the cooking tie for the character.

Must decide between Pirate Uni and Darigan Kougra.

Get a Pirate Uni - Darigan Kougra's would be hard to portray as girls, whereas Pirate Uni's would be a lot easier.

Vaelous is great with it as well

If I were to get a Darigan Kougra, it would actually be male over
getting a Pirate Uni and making it female.

Atleast I'm happy to have gotten some other matches out of the way
for my other pets though. I'm so bad at making choices for myself. XD;

I stick with the Pirate Uni. Imo, there are few Darigan pets that are actually 'succesful', so to speak (ie really look good), and the Darigan Kougra is certainly not one of them. The Pirate Uni is a great looking pet, and you have a great Petpet and Petpetpet to match, so I'd stick by them if I were you.

Mmm... I like the Fire Cyodrake, I really do, it's a very neat Petpet, but there's a lot of black to it, and imo, the Pirate Uni is dark enough on it's own, and is very well off with the Vaeolus' bright colours added to it.

EDIT2: Although... maybe the Fire Cyodrake looks better with the Scoach. But it is an enormously expensive petpet (2 mil). Sooo... I'd still go with the Vaeolus.
