Woot! I finally scored a 9-0! it's just as well I didn't have enough time to get one more goal, if the 10th isn't recorded anyway.

Oh, everyone thinks I'm crazy, just 'cause I try to warn people about the face-sucking aliens headed for Earth. Yeah, laugh now, have your face sucked off later. When the aliens come, I'll be the only one left with a face, and I'll be using that face to laugh at all of you, even though I'll be sad.

Alright, I'll bite:

The Maraquan Youyu Ball can leave players on both sides in a very sticky scenario. Because of it's texture, it can be just as cumbersome as the Snow Youyu, but the creature's most distinct feature is its tiny tube feet, which allow it to cling to anything within reach. This makes it a very difficult ball to simply steal from another player (although this also makes it much easier to hold onto). Unfortunately, this can make goal-scoring all the more difficult if the ball refuses to leave the player!

(It's supposed to be based on a starfish. I'm not sure how well I portrayed that. )

Hehe, those were just suggestions ;) I'm glad someone thought they were realistic enough to actually put in play :P

To all saying that the LD shoves you more: I have been shoved around be Roo enough times too. They've slammed me into walls repeatedly, sometimes for no reason. I just think it was programed that way to make it harder for us, not as a way to make other teams play different.

End rant on to funny comment.

Anyone else violate Pauli Exclusion much too? So for I have run straight through opposing players twice. Scared the heck out of me. Both times, I was following the player with the ball, right on his tail, then poof! I am right in front of the opposing player, and I have the ball. I think that is more unfair than a little shoving (even if it is in my benefit).

I never seem to be able to score more than 7 goals :( either I get the evil faerie ball, or I lose my concentration and miss the goal, or my mouse stops working properly, or my computer lags. It's cursed, I tell you.

Anyway, when will this round end? :P I'm trying to get at least 50 wins for Roo Island.

:D My scoring with the Faerieball is just as fast as mutantball now, it only misses when I'm not putting the proper attention into it, lol

And up to 41-0-0 for Roo Island Round 2 ^_^

Ohhh officerIBD1 i gotcha... at first i was a little confizzled, then you said start fish and i was like like "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh"... now i like it!

I was thinking of doing a maraquan one, thinking it would be basically a blob with tentacles everwhere (so front of arms/legs/ears you are seeing all have suction cups on them) but.... i was sleepy last night...

i DID make these though...

( only spent two seconds one one of them... bet you cant figure out which :) )

You should work for TNT, TWW. You're pure evil! I could really picture TNT putting invisible and sketch yooyuus in the game.
And I might be weird, but I think the Scketch ones would be more bothersome than the Invisible ones

The question I have - Would the lines disappear after each goal? Or would it be a time thing where they fade after so many seconds?

This is just a thought, but did anybody ever think that points might actually be awarded for losses and ties? I think it would be a better system. Like have your team get 1 point for a loss, 2 for a tie, and 3 for a win. I think it might be how they are doing it (not necessisarily the same point values) instead of taking away points for losses like how some people think.

Yeah. I was thinking that losses and ties counted too, but not in the same way as you did. I was thinking that there could be a cumulative point scored system that kept track of how many total goals you scored. That way you 9-8 loss wouldn't be in vain.

I like your idea more. It makes more sense than mine.

From the Editorial:

I have seen this many times on the boards: players from opposing teams making side accounts, joining the rival team & losing to lessen the score & have the other team win. Is this reportable? ~sfdscheer

Not only is it reportable, it's a freezable offense. No one may participate in the Altador Cup on any other account aside from their main. Sending in bad scores for the other team is not only poor sportsmanship, but is also downright disgraceful to the team they should be representing with honour. (And don't worry, they're really only hurting themselves.) ;)

Well, we know individual goals count, so that is nice. Even a few ties or losses here and there wouldn't be enough to shut any player or team out of the game. But I do wonder why they say anyone trying to sabotage other teams "would only be hurting themselves"? Sounds like they mean it more than the usual "morally speaking"? Hard to imagine what kind of point system would be "fairly" applied toward attempts at cheating. o_O

Where did TNT say individual goals count?

It's on the previous rounds page. :)

Quote:
The Altador Cup Committee bases scores on win/loss/tie record, point scores, individual performance, and a weighted average based on team membership. Translation: A team with more players has no advantage over a team with less players!

(That "less" should be "fewer" -- bugs me every time I read it!)

I've been thinking... say someone signs up for a team and doesn't send even one win (doesn't play at all, or sends only losses). Maybe they just don't count at all -- maybe they're not included in the "team count" when TNT is doing averages for scores. In that case, someone who joined up and sent just one win would hurt the team more than someone who sent nothing but 50 losses, because that one person/one win would be averaged in.

Or maybe losses don't count at all... like, losses = 0 points, ties = 1 point, wins = 2 points. So when TNT says "they're just hurting themselves," maybe they mean "they're wasting their time."

But it definitely does sound like more than just "karma will get them." It sounds like by signing up on a side and sending losses for a team, these cheaters could actually be helping that team in some way. Who knows.
