Why I do think that goals are just as important as wins is because, otherwise, a match goes something like this:
1) You take the ball, and you shoot
2) You score. Yay!
3) For the next ball, you pick it up and pass it to your keeper
4) You wait for three minutes.
5) You win.
Now, can you really say that that is just as hard as scoring nine goals and avoiding conceding? TNT must know that the opponent cannot get the Yooyu when the keeper has (after all, they did program it... didn't they?
), so, they must take account of this. Otherwise, all those who just do that have easier wins than those who spend ages scoring nine goals (e.g., Shadow_Twisted, who I'm sure has played at least a hundred games now, but probably has never only won one nil).
I have nothing against people who spend all three minutes playing hard, and end up only scoring one or two - it shows their commitment. But I can't help feeling that it would be unfair if goals were not considered to be at all important in the game.
And, to those who said about this being similar to a football/soccer league, it's actually more like a cup. And, in a one-legged cup, you don't score points. Whoever scores the most goals wins the round.
Therefore, my logic tells me that, if this is similar to soccer, then the goals will count as much/more than the number of wins (although I do think that wins will count as a factor at some point as well, because a 8-9 defeat is worse than a 1-0 victory. Maybe they'll use goal difference)
