A couple things.

One, I think it's fixed now so you don't have to close/open between each game. I haven't for the past 6ish and they've all registered(I checked between each one). Not sure if it's just me, so someone else want to check it?

Two, I think I've figured out the faerie ball a little. Following someones advice to shoot it sraight at the goalie didn't work for me- it'd just go straight to the goalie. But I've found that if I shoot it just slightly- SLIGHTLY- to the side of the goalie it'll go in a lot more often. If you go more than just slightly though(as I often do), then you'll miss the goal completely.

Eeek!

Who do I vote for in the staff tournement? Anyone have any info on which staff member's the most awesomenest gamer of them all?

Personaly I like Tiger Catcher, Snarkie and a toss-up between El Picklesaur and The orange shirt guy.

Tiger Catcher's my first choice, based simply on that awesome pose of his.

Do you think they'll deduct points for people who guess against their own team?

:roflol: Anyone else think it is hilarious Lawyerbot been assigned to the "cheating" team?

I predit Lawyerbot will "win" and then find some loophole in the law so no one can accuse him of cheating. :P

hmm...
Voting will end on Monday, 9th June!

In how many years is that? :P

So is this supposed to be monday, June 12th?

The scoring doesn't make sense to me because you can submit ONLY the winning scores and not the losing ones if you choose. It doesn't force you to submit losing scores. How are they going to decide who wins and who loses then?

I can't be the only one whose noticed this, so if this was answered in previous posts, I'm sorry.

Nope, its not completely "fixed". It does work alot better but yesterday and earlier today, it failed to register. I don't close out and open a new window every game, but after about 4 games or so, I do it just to be on the safe side. Its very frustrating and a waste of 3 minutes when its worth nothing. I also refresh the My Scores page to check. I'm sure it varies for everyone.

Works for me when I shoot straight at the goalie. I run straight at the goalie and when I get around the center point of the white goalie lines. Goes in more often for me before I tried different methods and found that worked best for me.

I hope Neopets makes this game for the next-gen systems. I'll be getting the PS3 but I'm sure many would like it for X-Box 360 and Nintendo Wii so if anybody agrees with me.... use that Comment area on the Neopets page and let them know you want them to make an Altador Cup game for one of those systems. :)

So i just randomly picked staff members and then i read about how they are the same match-ups as the teams are for us and i was just lucky that i had not selected two people who are playing against each other right now lol. I really should read rules beforehand.

I'm doing good against the Kreludian people. I have a tie and a win, I just defended my goal then tackled the ball off them and went straight for the goal. :D

Sat Jun 10, 2006 2:42 am

...Aw crud. I didn't check competing teams, either. Miraculously, none of my picks are playing each other this week.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 2:52 am

I picked Snowbunny (Darigan), Soupfaerie (Faerieland), and Ollie/TPOSG (Roo Island). :D

When I was playing Krelador before the competition started I lost but now it seems to be ok. I havent lost yet but I did tie once. Of course I didn't send the score :D.

No, you aren't the only one who noticed this. The way I see it, if you don't submit your losses, and only your wins, it'll actually take you longer to submit a win than someone who wins more often than you. So not submitting anything is just as bad as submitting a loss in my view.

In order from first place to third:
Snarkie, Mr. Roboto, TPOSG/Ollie

And this thread is reminding me that I should go and win some more games for Darigan, so off I go.

AS for the staff tournament, Snarkie has a high score in her look-up for the Altador Cup of 10, 501 points while other players haven't got a score. Though I didn't check them all, I suspecyt only a few have this. Also some staff members don't seem to be top gamers with lookups. Could this be a clue?
