Hey, you brought this up as a scam, but I'm not sure quite what you're saying, even if it is possible to win 100,000 points from them, which apparently it is, I think that embellishing the information on the trade lot doesnt add up to scamming.

Besides, who is really going to bid anything worth counting on that, anyway. Anyone who hasn't play neopets for long enough to realise you shouldnt place 100k on the bag, wont have anything that valuable to offer anyway.

And so they saw a light as bright as a thousand suns that shone through the very core of the few who watched it.

The nuke was finished.

I'm fairly sure the most anyone is won is only 5k and that is extrememly rare.
Saying that you can get a certain prize from something, even if you can't is a scam.

Otherwise, what is your definition of a scam?

If you couldn't actually win 100K from them then it would be a scam by tnt rules, yes. But considering that's apparently up for discussion I wouldn't jump the gun too fast.

Misrepresenting the value of an item in the Trading Post IS concidered scamming. This person is a newbie who may just be misinformed, especially since they mention that they have it in thier shop (for 2500 NP) and are asking for codestones and faeries. So no need to get report happy. If it bothers you, neomail them and politely remind them that it might be construed as a scam because thier information is incorrect.

The player who has the best Fishing guide says she has seen no proof that anyone has ever won over 3000 np from the bags.

She says there was a glitch at the beginning where the bag didn't dissappear after being fixed and several players made hundreds of thousands getting it fixed over and over. They also got frozen.

It's kind of like buying a scratch card I guess. *shrug* There's no guarantee how much you will get if any.

I just have a question though... many people write "FFFFFRREEEEEEEE" or something like that.... What's the point of writing free? Obviously it's not free.

I don't know. I thought maybe I was misreading it or something. Maybe this one isn't free but the others are? I don't know.

I think they just do it to get your attention.

Exactly. It's just like on eBay how people will put "Rare" or "Hard-to-Find" or "One of a Kind". It's not true, but if someone weren't to pay attention or look things up, they'll be more likely to buy it. ;)
