Hey, have you guys noticed that you can put the pendant on all the statues in the Hall of Heros? Not sure if anyone else noticed that...
Mon May 22, 2006 7:43 pm
Thank you. It was noticed already, but thanks anyway.

As far as the poster-board room image, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. What I had come to notice, that I don't know if it's been pointed or not, is that the Underwater Basket Weaving Club is gone. The Astronomy club poster covered it up, never to be heard of again. Do I really think it's important? No, but it is something to think about.
Anyone stuck on the water plant should use the Mad Plumber Wizard, a few people have links to it in their posts. I myself just did it randomly and had it in under 10 minutes.
wait: under water weaving...the water plant...
wouldn't the baskets be wove with under
water plants?
oops, over-scrupulous again.

[quote="anjuna"]I am talking about the main entrance. Where the poster board is. That room image. And the .gif on the server.

/archives_main_flyers_2_c1600.gif
Again I can tab the links on the page but there is no image there at all.
Nevermind anyway, it's probably just me and if they are updating I am too tired to do anything else about it anyway.
EDIT: Yar. It be my browser, sorry. Image is there, still doesn't want to load it. Oh well I can still tab, hope I don't miss anything important.

actually its not showing up for me either.. and i notice that when i clicked on your supplied link earlier to the archives, the image was there.. but when i manually click in from altador it doesnt... hm something seems to be skrewing with the script on tha tpage cause the links are the same, the flash starting off before you click the archives to go on may mean that they have infact changed the flash image of altador with some script codes that may intrefere with the linking to some places on the map.
but who knows... maybe its just my firefox
although this maybe useless this does tell me that they may be working on it right now or maybe preparing the page for any future problems that the plot may cause
as for the cats in altador.. those maybe an executive fetish amongst staff

Interesting because I recently started using Avant almost exclusively (by the way there is a similar browser called Orca that is basically the Avant of FF if anyone is interested, based on the Gecko rather than Trident engine) but I also notice certain odd quirks. Like it won't display anything in the flash pop up for the Holly Hobby sponsor game either (but looking at the coding it is very strange looking, not simple and clear like for most other games). And I tried other browsers that seem to sometimes be able to view the image of the poster board and sometimes not. So I can't speculate what is going on except possible changes being made, but for now I pretty much just figure it is actually my browser for once.
Oh and yours.
EDIT: The strangest thing does happen though. I can right-click on where the poster board image is supposed to be (I can see the tab-click areas but no image, not even on the URL of the server). And usually I can still right-click on an image and Show Picture. This time that option is greyed out. Plus, normally when I right-click to save an image, it will let me save and automatically select the proper name and extension, etc. from the server URL. This time I can highlight that "invisible" image and right-click and I get Save Picture as untitled.bmp. A bitmap. And when I open it it is simply a single black pixel. But there is no pixel I see on the actual .phtml page, so I dunno ...

News is up but I didn't notice anything new in Altador. Anyone with better luck?
Tue May 23, 2006 3:02 am
I don't think we'll have an update until enough people get through that plant, so nobody hold your breath.
Also mad props to the Mad Plumber Wizard
Worked for me and my sis-in-law!

My previous forecast equation, which correctly predicted the release of the water plant step, points to June 5th as the next release =P The old forecast is the one that doesn't reach the end of the chart.
The two most complex equations (6th and 5th order polynomials) point to June 9th or 10th respectively while the less complex 3rd and 4th order polynomials point to May 26th and 30th respectively...
The 5th order polynomial was the one that correctly predicted this last step previously.
Note: The 6th and 4th are not displayed.

Well I sincerely hope that it doesn't end in mid-June... and I'm pretty sure that there's something... dark behind this... maybe King Altador himself is a pawn of some monster (think Razul, The Bringer, etc) who erased the history...

I'm not sure about the forecast, a lot of people have been saying the last step was to be released BEFORE June. Also, Jerdanna was the one to do all the magic that screwed up Altador's history so know one would know that the city had come inches from complete and total destruction at the hands of the Darkest Faerie. Before the city was destroyed, Jerdanna sealed it away in a "Time Bubble" in order to keep it from being obliterated. The stolen history is most likely a side effect of the spell. It was probably done on purpose so that no one would remember the DF's onslaught.
What I Know of Altador from The Darest Faerie(PS2):
The game has the DF awaken and in the course of trying to stop her, you end up being transported to Altador. In the great city, the remnants of the DF's evil magic still opresses the city. You are charged to awaken the shrines of Altador's greatest heroes: Kelland, Gordos, Torakor, and Fauna. Also, you must rescue Jerdanna and are helped out by King Altador. Note how each of these characters are at the end of our quest.
Before being transported to Altador, you learn that it had been destroyed by the Darkest Faerie. However, when you go to Faerieland to save Queen Fyora, you learn that Jerdanna sealed the city in time to prevent it from being obliterated. After freeing Jerdanna, you learn how her magic orb was used to seal the Darkest Faerie in stone.
After defeating the Darkest Faerie in Faerieland, she is relocated to a fountain there so that she can be closely watched. Which is when the rumor of the statue in Faerieland emerged, people were a little confused. Seeing as to how Altador was "discovered" shortly after the release of the game, it wouldn't surprise me if the statue was moved after the plot.

Personally I think the Archivist erased the history, he just doesn't remember. He's the only person who would know where the history books are to hide them, plus he had the spell book earlier.
But I wanted to comment on the prediction chart -- I don't think TNT will end on a constellation, plus the page count in the book looks like at least two more updates.
Tue May 23, 2006 12:07 pm
lol the chart's very creative but I don't think tnt thinks THAT hard about when they are going to release stuff.
I don't think they'll end on a constellation either but that doesn't mean they won't have another constellation for the King. Maybe there's going to be something after that. (just a theory)

Don't worry professorelite, many of us have noticed and ooh-aahed over your impressive equation.
To those who say that TNT doesn't put that much thought into it - that's the whole point. professorelite isnt trying to find the equation they're using - obviously they wouldn't bother making it that complx, he is simply trying to interpret their previous behaviour, and make a model that accurately predicts the arrival of the next clue. It did so for the previous clue, and because TNT has to be on a deadline, they will probably quite closely adhere to it.
Of course, using mathematics to predict human behavious doesn't always work. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Since this was all discussed, done and over with, let´s stick to nobody knowing what when and how, just like the last time.
We've got equations ranging from today until mid june, so something should be quite close to it, and I'm sure someone could come up with a perfectly viable way of proving TNT has been taken over by mad cyber monkeys who can turn back time, so that the next clue will be released 7884378 bc.

I'd say unless you're talking about the average behaviour of a lot of people, it's very unlikely to work. Too many factors involved we don't have a clue about, many of which may not be constant throughout the plot. Looking at things inductively and assigning patterns that we know aren't really
how it works based on as small an amound as 11 experiments is pretty much a guessing game, and without being as unspecific as 'may 30th to june 10th' not particulary likely to predict anything.
I suppose it's amusing though.
