Confounding Kaleidoscope

Excellent, excellent, excellent choice of words! I love how you chose "confounding" instead of the more common "confusing". And using the word "kaleidoscope" is just....awesome! Definitely not a word that I would have though up. And I love the aural alliteration (the way both words begin with the "k" sound, even though they aren't written as alliteration). 10/10

Blk Mage
Reality Shift

I like this one, because of the use of the word "shift". I really like it because there is a definite shift between the two sides of the signature. However, I would have liked it more if "reality" hadn't been used. I'm really not a fan of that word being used much these days. I just think there are better words that could be used. 7/10

Dragonfire
Puzzling Inversions

This signature is indeed "puzzling inversions". When I read your subtext, I had to take the image into my programs and actually see if there were inversions, and there are, so props for picking up on that. Knowing that the second half of the signature is an inversion of the first half (and vice versa), I really like that you chose the word puzzling. It definitely is a puzzling signature. How can the two halves be inversions of eachother? Oh, the insanity...I love it. 10/10

pipsqueeek
Prismatic and Prosaic

First, yay for alliteration! Good job choosing two words that are not commonly used. I really like how you chose "prismatic" instead of something like "colorful". I think it really captures the images well. However, using "prosaic" I don't really understand. The definitions of prosaic don't really lend themselves to this signature at all (Definitions being: 1. Consisting of prose; 2. Straightforward; 3. Dull or lacking in imagination). I don't think that "prosaic" fits the signature at all. 8/10

Pixa
A florid flurry.

More "yay for alliteration"! I don't really like the choice of words though. "Florid" means flowery, or ornate, and this signature isn't really either. "Flurry" fits a little bit better. The two sides of the signature do seem to be a bit erratic, but overall, the signature itself does not give me that impression. 7/10

Eeee. The goodness of this subtext has caused me to make long strings of vowels. And you also realized that alliteration doesn't mean you have to have two words with the same letters! Creativity! Perfect length, perfect words, perfect, perfect, perfect. 10/10

Blk Mage
Reality Shift
This is good. But at this point in the competition, you have to be more than just good- you have to be great (and even later, you have to be excellent). I do like this one, but it's just... missing something. It doesn't have any figurative language or anything... it's good, but not wowing. 7/10

Dragonfire
Puzzling Inversions
I like this one a lot for two reasons. Those two reasons are the individual words. I don't know if you were going for 'puzzling' as in 'confused', but to me these definitely look like actual puzzles... and they're inverted... so it all works out just fine. 9/10

Prismatic and Prosaic
I really like this one. The length is perfert, as is the alliteration and the words. I adore the words- they're not words you normally hear in everyday life (at least they're words I don't hear in my own daily life) and it just works perfectly. 10/10

Pixa
A florid flurry.
First off, I'm definitely not a fan of punctuation after subtexts (especially if they're not actually complete sentences). Florid is a nice word, as is flurry (though I'm not sure I would use that particular word to describe this signature). It's like Blk Mage's in the fact that it's good- but by now, you need to be more than good. 7/10

:P I was actually bothered by the full stop too, because I didn't add it.

Actually, I was going for both of those. :P I thought they looked confusing, and they also looked like puzzles, so yeah.

Sorry for being late, we had no power yesterday. Thats what I get for leaving judging to the last minute.

Judges Comments: What a great round. Probably the best of the competition. No subtext was bad, but I think the three people I chose to move on are the ones that deserve it. Congrats on making it this far to everyone!

Confounding Kaleidoscope
Excellent subtext you wrote. It works perfectly with the signature and I have no critiques.

Blk Mage
Reality Shift
I’m a little on the fence with this one. I’m not sure how I feel about it, I don’t particularly like the word ‘shift’ but the subtext as a whole does work in a way. I like how you went in a different direction than the others though.

Dragonfire
Puzzling Inversions
I like the ‘Inversions’ part, and in a way it does look like a puzzle. Very good.

pipsqueeek
Prismatic and Prosaic
I had to look both these words up! Besides that, I like it. I like how you went for different words, and I think they work well together. I don’t like how you connected them though, just using ‘and’, but otherwise very good.

Pixa
A florid flurry.
I don’t really like florid that much, I just don’t think the word fits that well in this signature. Flurry is better. I don’t like the period at the end though. This isn’t a bad signature, but it isn’t that great.

Elimination
1: Pixa
2: Blk Mage

Congrats to .:Requiem:., Dragonfire, and pipsqueeek for making it to the end.

This is the final round. You will have to submit a subtext for each of these signatures. Ths judges will then rate, and decide a winner. I will give you an extra day for this round, but if you are completly sure you will not change your subtexts, and everyone posts that they are done, I will end it early.

Good Luck!!!

I know you said you'd give us an extra day, but what's the exact date we have to have the subtexts in by?

Not that it's any of my business but is it just me or was there no period in Pixa's subtext? :P Just thought it might have been unfair if he was marked lower than he could have got because of that point.

Personally, he would have still been within my bottom two, or I would have said the same thing as you just did.

Am I correct in my thinking that we should PM our subtexts for this round to you?

I think that's just the ratings, Requiem.
