WATER PLANTS DO NOT WORK THIS WAY !!!
This is officially the most unfair puzzle in the history of .. I mean .. I'm sorry, I can't even call it a puzzle. TNT couldn't pay me to click any more, not even in neopoints.
I have tried all 256 "combinations" more than once, so have many. I submit this is unfair, or else there is a glitch, for the following reasons:
1) Even if it were like a Myst puzzle game, one could follow the water's flow by determining what goes on when, by clicking and seeing if that affected another area, etc., essentially mapping out the pipes. So what, hard enough. Hard enough to methodically test all 256 "combinations." It doesn't matter because I can fiddle to my heart's content *inbetween flooding* and set things back to my original sequence, but my water looks totally different from my starting point. If I want to map water flow, I have to notice changes. I can only notice a change if I refresh each room (properly with the room=URL, not refreshing the last action one did).
2) There is no aim. By making this "random" for each user, there is no common or even unique-to-each-user goal to attain. So we have no idea what the final end should be, unless we knew what to look for first. In other words, again, I *could* map my pipes and water flow, IF it were actually consistent! It appears not to be. People that got it by clicking "randomly" were Lucky, with a capital L, or there must be a Glitch.
3) Why I think it is poor programming, to be honest: By submitting a click, the other data should be "set" already. I don't know what is going on here, and this may scare most of you, but I do notice my hard drive "sounds" and know when something has changed with data sequences within neopets plots (it is virtually the only website I use, lol).
There is something going on with "either if or and something changes here or there when I click this, I must then go and do this." Hard to make sense but some might know what I mean (probably those still trying, heh). For example, I have an *inclination* that if I click on anything in one room, and *nothing* OR *something* happens, that means I should X. Get me? In other words I must act on this information by, again for instance, if I click on something and nothing happens, refresh (properly) all room URLs # (which is why I notice TNT changed the room names to links, unless I totally missed that when the Plant was released). So for that same example, perhaps if something changes in one room, I need to move to another, and so forth, but which sequence? There is no goal! There are far more than a "measly" 256 combinations for all of these scenarios. I have no idea, frankly how so many have gotten so lucky so fast, when even by using one's brain (methodically, creatively, or intutively), or even some sort of "cheat," it should take longer. (Good thing it's not possible to cheat something that can't be won. I think I'm officially out of the plot, unless TNT admits a glitch or I can brave it again.)
Speaking of "cheats," I heard someone found a URL for the Punch Combos. Perhaps brave and daring programmers can try to find us soggy-bottomed Water Plant-ers a nice URL to click on to advance?
Sorry for the bitter rant. It has been a long 3 days full of Repetitive Stress.
