No, I got mine running without flooding the city even once.
I didn't even know that could happen until I came to look on the PPT plot thread.

Quite a few people seem to solve it immediately after or before flooding the city... perhaps making everything +/U and then changing one thing is worth trying.

But how would you do that? Changing everything to +/U floods the city, or at least it did for me (and a number of others who've posted on here).

I am almost inclined to submit a bug report. If anyone reading this more easily gets answers from TNT and would so kindly do so before me and let us all know of an answer if you get one, that would be great.

This should not take 4 hours, then another 4 hours, then another ....

I must have tried everything more than once, checking, unchecking, rechecking, watching the water, seeing what shuts off what, etc.

There is no order or logic to this, and if it is random, pretty unfair. I am starting to think each user has a preset amount of clicks to get it, to just press almost anything a certain number of times and some had 3 clicks and some will have to click 3,000 times or something. Like me.

I'm sorry, that sucks big time. :(

Have you tried flooding the city in between each try? That seems to be working for some people...

there's only 256 combos....maybe you should try a systematic approach? Like with the punches.

concerning the many rooms of the library, every room has a link similar to: (some-very-long-link)&arcx=2147483649&arcy=0&cmhv=(some-very-long-link)

the "&arcx=___" is the number of the room you are horizontally speaking, while the other one is where you are vertically speaking. by plugging in room 9, and 99, and 999, and 9999, and so on for "&arcx=" to see how many rooms to the right i could get, it changed on me after i plugged in 9999999999 (10 9s) to 2147483649. this changed after clicking to the doors on my right and left and looking at the number. interestingly, when i click on the door on my right many times in room 2147483649, it fluctuates between 2147483648-2147483653, not even in numerical order. sometimes it even goes beyond 53, but it stays in that range mostly.

this also happened when plugging in 9999999999 (10 9s) into "&arcy=". when i plug in any more 9s, my number resets back to 1. perhaps this is interesting?

That's a lot of rooms. at least 4611686018427387904 rooms. i'm really surprised any of us managed to find the room with the plushies in it. by the way, has anyone re-found their plushie room?

yupp i sure did but it was an accident and all that was in there were cob webs and a old mop

I was lucky and clicked a bunch of wheels and levers and got the fixed and went to the archivist "The archivist frowns as you enter. "A necklace on a pedestal? Guarded by a spectral beast of some kind? Surely these are not the tools of someone with nothing to hide. Go, find the next constellation."

I use the Star Mapper (thanks DarkFire) and I have located the Constellation but I can't seem to connect the stars correctly. Can anyone send me a picture of how it looks finished

Many thanks :o :D

Thanks to everyone for the friendly suggestions but I have tried all approaches several times over. I am actually going to try it in Firefox but I have never had any luck with this browser at all to be honest.

The only thing that "helps" (well not really but I ran out of ideas long ago) is when I can try and re-try combos that worked for others. So keep 'em coming folks. Apparently there is nothing else left for me to do. I might be out of the plot, and that really sucks because I even have the patience to keep trying, but all hope has left me. Good thing the plot will be over soon. Then I can stop trying. :(

XD Have you tried just clicking things randomly without actually trying to do anything? That's what I did, got it in two minutes. ^^";

Hang in there, you'll get it...knowing TNT there won't be another clue for at least a week, so that's plenty of time! And maybe someone will figure out a pattern soon, if there is one...

Yes, once again I state, I have tried ALL. And Firefox is just a disaster! :P
So I will sit here, refresh PPT, and wait for people to tell me their combos. If anyone/everyone is so inclined, feel free to PM me your "winning combos." Depression is settling in fast. Thanks again for your sympathy.

EDIT: What the heck is dev.neopets.com and why is Firefox hanging trying to contact it?

Wish I had saved my combo. @.@ Sounds like it's tiring. Well, I'm sure you'll get it sooner or later. Maybe just leave it be for a day or so?

Location: Antarctica or space...you get the idea already.
I got a random quest from this thing. And it's for a healing potion V. Which I have 7 of. Heheh. But I wish it was for somebody other than an earth faerie. It's sorta pointless.

Anyway, hard reset is handy for those trying to "map" their switches and such.

I have been at this 2 days already. I think if I leave it I am really out.
And may I just take this opportunity to say Firefox SUCKS (really bad, as usual, always and again)! :x What the heck is wrong with that browser?!
