Astrolabes and compasses are usually used (at least in real life) for charting stars. Perhaps that's part of the clue.

i wonder?

has anyone tried putting all three astronomy items in their inventory and then looking for clues?

Granted it has been quite a while since the clue, the possibility that we have missed it is there. However, an entire move of the office must take quite a while to do... so that could explain the lull in the clues.

Actually, Scott, I have been through a number of office moves. At most, because it is done by others, it should be two days worth of being behind on things. One day for pack-up, the moving company moves everything from one place to another overnight, and one day for unpacking - this has been consistent in every office move I have been through. It is nothing like a move made for your own personal home.

I've also been through a number of office moves, and I have to assume that the companies Cat worked for were much more organized than the ones I worked for. Every office move I've been through has been rife with delays at both ends: misplaced equipment, unexplained delays in transit, insufficient movers (because the company is cheap), insufficient IT staff to set up the new office (because the company is cheap), lack of authorization for workers to help the movers and IT staff (because the company is cheap and paranoid), not enough cubicles/ electrical outlets in the new space, cubicles/ electrical outlets installed in the wrong places in the new space, no phone/ email service in the new space (see above re: IT staff), and (my personal favorite) megalomaniacal managers who decide that an office move is the perfect time for a major, albeit pointless, reorganization.

Point is, I don't think it's at all unreasonable to suppose the move might take a while, especially when time to get everything up and running in the new space is factored in.

I also have the sneaking suspicion the next clue has been released, and no one's figured it out yet. That's why I hang out here: you all are so clever.

did I miss something, I only have 2 items from this plot 1. the astrolable, 2. the badge. The club and the telescope never showed up as items.

The telescope didn't, but the club should have... in fact, it's a battledome item, and you should be able to equip it...

I currently have all three in my inventory, but so far have seen nothing...

Have you visited the astronomy club after number 9? You should have a club by now. :P If not, you may have missed it... so you had better hope it isn't required for the remainder of the plot. :)

Lots of people, including me, have tried the (theoretically risky) job of checking all the altador pages while carrying the three items. Of course, some of us put 47 piles of dung in our inventory at the same time... :)

The Badge, Astrolabe and Astronomy Club are items (club is an equipable weapon).

The Telescope does not show up as an item.

So far I have not had all 3 in my inventory for fear of a sneak attack by the Pant Devil, but I have my Club equipped and so far nothing has happpend around Altador with it equipped. :D

I have the King Altador avi as my current avi AND all 3 plot items in my inventory (after making sure that I have omelettes with a higher rarity than the plot items). After poking around Altador, no new links are apparent, and nothing appears out of place when I visit everywhere. Has anyone checked the shops yet for other "mysterious" items that show up with proper NP according to inflation, etc.?

Maybe we should make a list of what's been tried and HASN'T worked since the news came out.

Hey guys .. you say the club is a battledome weapon and that the other three SHOULD be in your SDB and that the telescope never shows up.

Anyone remember the E-Z telescope? I thought we put that thingamajig up at the Observatory. Or was that telescope from TNT? o.O OK I think I've forgotten.

I think I found where altador's clue will be. If you zoom in near the docks there is a golden altador statue as well as a tennative location for the soccer thing, the collesium behind the statue

edit: there are also quite a few aisha statues through out the city fyi
