I'd just like to point out that the previous thread (split #52) has the wrong link to this new thread. It's locked so I coudldn't comment in there.

The janitor said something about lavender, but I think it is not relevant. But hey, you never know.

Oops, I realized that I had entered the data incorrectly for my previous forecast x.x; Anyhow my new forecast predicts that the next step will be realized on May 4th and the one following that one on May 13th. This latest trend equation seems to match the plot with and its greatest error is one day:

This one predicts that the next step will be released on May 4th and the following step on May 13th
There is also another one that even more closely fits the data, so tighly that it has error within a few hours... it looks kinda funny though... seems to say that there will only be two steps left o.O;

This one say the next step would be on May 5th and the last? step would be on May 11th...
Heh now I see why weathermen seem to get it way wrong 1/3rd of the time.

hmmm...this is a pretty long wait without an update with regards to the plot. i wonder what they have in store.

First off, TNT is a bunch of people. Not an equation. So, even if you do find an equation that matches up to the very second of each clue, there's no gurentees. I really doubt that TNT had a meeting before the plot started and said, "I want all of you to come up with an equation, whoever has the best looking equation will be chosen and their equation will be a guideline to releasing clues!"
However, that doesn't mean that they don't have a pattern or some sort of reason for the spacing of the clues

Apparently they have been moving offices so ihe delay probably has more to do with that than anything else.

Well, sadly as other people mentioned, TNT is human, not mechanical. And using the exact same thing you did, I can prove that your forecasts dont predict anything. You are able to fit an equation to a set of data, but your line is adaptive. If this had been posted after the second clue, it would be a straight line, thus not representing the data very well at all. However, if you wait until after the clues are all out, then you could make a perfect line.
What program are you using to do that? If you send me your data I can post 3 pictures that shows that the next clue could be anywhere.

Hystericalanduseless: as was mentioned in the last thread somewhere (or maybe some other site, I forget), the petpet status updates at about :03 past each minute. If you check the status at :01 or :02, that leaves you about one second to treat it, which would explain your failure. Try checking, treating, then checking at around :10 past each minute.

Ive tried all your methods... all of them. Here's what Ive been doing.. can somebody try to correct me?
Ive got all the things used to heal the petpet up, so heres what i do:
-Click on the bird petpet in the archives.
I hit "check in on the valeous" at say 17:01:01, and perform the proper method of healing.
After a minute has passed, at say 17:02:02, I "check in on the Valeous" again and then perform the correct task.
After a minute has passed, at say 17:03:03, I "check in on the Valeous" again and then perform the correct task.
etc....etc...
but it never gets to the end!
I had loads of problems with this task too.
I'll tell you EXACTLY how I got mine to work
1) Click on the petpet in the archivist office at 5sec past the minute
2) Perform the correct action
3) click 'check on' immediately afterwards
4) At 5 sec past the min click 'check on' and perform the action & click 'check on immediately afterwards again....and so on and so on.
I think the reason I was havin problems was because I was doing the 'check on' action between steps 1) and 2).
Hope this helps.

It was not meant to be taken as iron-clad... it was meant for fun. You people kill the fun. Plus, I didn't want to prove anything because if you would have looked more closely, I did post alternate predictions to disprove myself already. I just thought it would be a fun thing since this plot is so entrenched in astrology, the use of stars to predict one's fate (or in this case, one's past).

how many times are people going to post that ridiculous order...it's right there on the first page!
Thu May 04, 2006 4:34 pm
HowardTJMoon: thats how i done mine as well, if ya do 5 seconds past ya neither can be too early or too late in the minute.
pinkflamingonewsgirl: I dont think trying to help others that dont fully understand the first page is ridiculous, there msut have been around 20 posts like it and i dont see you call all the other members that tried any names.
professorelite: keep on predicting, it gives us something to think about

Not to burst your overly sensitive bubble but I followed the order on the 1st page and it still didnt work for me......I made a small change and it worked. Forgive me for trying to help other ppl who are probably going insane tryin to do this task!

you know... another way is just cheking the word "altador" thats above the image....
it has to be between "Pet central" and "explore"
if you are good with URLs.... you just have to click an action (any action).....
if the word "altador" goes down, you didnt do the right action....
just go to the URL and then change the last word...
example:
if its =feed.... well just change it into =wait
and so on..
if you click an action and the word "altador" is still in the same place, then you did the right action....
you dont have to wait a minute to click another action... just right away until you get the last action well...
i hope this worked...

Hmm The Protector Constellation is most likely out... it might be like the Collector and such where people just weren't able to find it for some time...
Irrevelant but there is a new avatar out. PinkPT hasn't mentioned it yet though on their news page. Ice hissi.
