Ness isn't in the game anymore. Changes to Rude unless you tell me otherwise 40 min from this post.

Story as of now:
As the scene of Midgar fades, the battle remains fierce. With the addition of the Turks, the characters are really feeling the pressure now.
Cloud: If we dally too long, we may be facing not only the Turks, but Jenova and Giga Koopa too.
No sooner has Cloud said his warning, Reno and Rude gang up and hit Koopa for -6 damage from each. Elena still smells the blood in the water and targeted Sheik. Unfortunately for Elena, Link throws himself in front of the attack and took -3 damage.
Elena: A hit is a hit.
With that, the Turks rejoin the fight.

1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions after 5PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out.

Preferred Attack format:[Character A] attacks [Character B] for -3 damage’ [Do not forget the underline, red, and bold.]
Code:

Round 09 Announcements:
1: I am thinking that the first HRB will be Round 15 in replace of a stage. I will post the rules some time around Round 10/11
2: The Turks are probably the most dangerous entity in the arena right now. It might be good to target them. The usual +25 point for their defeat is just a side manner.
3: Unlike other NPCs, the Turks do not lock the stage. Stage shifting will occur as normal.
4: We’re on to the second specials now. Let’s see what trouble we can cause.
5: Link and Mario can target neither each other, nor Roy.
6: Well, Link and Mario can target Roy, but that would just be wasting their move since they can’t attack after using their specials, and neither can remove Roy’s special.

This Round's Weapons:
1 Max Repel: User cannot attack or be attacked for two rounds.

This Round's Specials:
1) Link: Boomerang: -3 damage to one character. Target cannot attack for the rest of the round
2) Mario: Super Jump Punch: -4 damage to one character. Target cannot attack or heal for the rest of the round

Pikachu uses Max Repel to prevent anything from occuring to it for the next two rounds
...only cause someone keeps attacking him, heh.

Story as of now:
What a turn of events! Mario is eliminated from the game by his love Peach! All’s fair in love and war, ne?

In other news, the Turks are circling again. A new target has also been found. Elena and Rude rush Sheik, but Link gets in the way and Rude smacks him hard for -3, while Elena gets blocked by Zelda but deals -3 back as well. At least with Link, like Keith Richards, no one will notice when he is hit on the head and receives brain damage. While Rude and Elena distract the others, Reno took the opportunity to strike Fox for -3. Looks like the demand for Tomatoes has gone up.

Round 10 Announcements:

4: To those not around last game of have forgotten, kills are recorded at the end of the round (giving the target time to heal or other players a chance to snipe the kill), not when the victim reaches 0 or less.
5: The Tomato goes to the character with the lowest HP. Said HP can be negative. -25 HP on the victim is the minimum damage to generate the kill.
6: Kirby’s Swallow has been reworked. He can only target Fox or Joanna. The target can still make actions if Kirby hits them first.
7: As like last time, Mario is now gone from the next game. The illustrious Black Mage from Final Fantasy (as in the first one) will now take his spot in the next game.
8: Pikachu cannot attack or be attacked until next round due to the Max Repel.
9: Looking at #5, I am hoping you will try for the -25 on someone, just to see how that works.

Maxim Tomato: +25 HP. Character with the most damage receives the item at the end of the round
1 Ray Gun: -3 damage to two characters

This Round's Specials:
1) Fox: Blaster: -1 damage to distributed any way for up to four characters
2) Kirby: Swallow: -1 damage to one character that is using a special. Kirby can use that special on a different character or gains the automatic effect.
3) Joanna: Falcon 2: -4 damage to one character

The Home Run Bat (HRB) is the most broken element in the game, until Black Mage appears next game. It deals a one hit kill to any character regardless of the victim's HP. It is best to use the bat on a target that has a lot of HP.

To use the bat, you need to send me a PM offering a great argument why a character should use the bat, and an argument why a character should be instantly eliminated. The use of the HRB will be announced on Round 15. Entries can be sent now.

Some notes:
Big long arguments are preferred.
If one argument for a character to use the bat is good, but the argument for the elimination is bad, unless the other arguments for elimination are bad, I may mix and match the arguments.
I will of course get huffy when Round 15 comes nearer and few arguments have been received.
