I think that's the same as the finding constellations via coloured stars: very personal.
Mine are strewn all across...

Hmmm... I don't know... judging by the clues so far, it won't be something that easy, especially since it would be logical to expect that after Altador, there will be something happening.

Guess we'll have to wait for TNT and their inventivity

That's right. I forgot about the tab trick. I guess that would be letting us off easy.

Mon May 01, 2006 6:31 pm

Ugh. I keep making sure to click each option only once and make sure I don't miss a minute, but I've been at this for over an hour and can't get this dang petpet to light up!

Mon May 01, 2006 6:46 pm

Keep track of what you do, then. Use Notepad or Word or Excel or even just a sheet of paper. Write it down so you know you've done each step in order. Otherwise it's too easy to get confused or distracted and miss a step, and then you do have to start from step 1 again.

This is an example of a sequence worked for me and two of my housemates (hours and minutes were different for each of us):

1 - Check-in 7:40:02 ... Option 7:40:05 (where Option is whatever
2 - Check-in 7:41:05 ... Option 7:41:09 (the picture says to do
3 - Check-in 7:42:11 ... Option 7:42:15 (and on our system it took
4 - Check-in 7:43:16 ... Option 7:43:20 (about 4 seconds between click
5 - Check-in 7:44:21 ... Option 7:44:25 (on Check-in and click on the
6 - Check-in 7:45:25 ... Option 7:45:28 (appropriate Option
7 - Check-in 7:46:29 ... Option 7:46:33
8 - Check-in 7:47:35 ... Option 7:47:39
9 - Check-in 7:48:40 ... Option 7:48:45
10 - Check-in 7:49:45 ... Option 7:49:49
11 - Check-in 7:50:51 -- and the Vaeolus was cured.

We thought it did matter that the time between the Option and the next Check-in should be at least 60 seconds, so that's what we did. And we thought we needed to have the last step take place before the :59 second mark, so that's also what we did. Likewise, we finished before the :59 minute mark! Whether you need to be that strict, we don't know. It just worked 3 times in a row for our 3 accounts.

And yes, it helps to have another person sit through it and keep you on track ;)

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but what if TNT, for the last constellation, took a literal point of view on the word "Hunter" and had us do like a Ultimate Bullseye thing where we had to shoot arrow and basically hunt things.

Mon May 01, 2006 8:33 pm

I really hope there is nothing to do with ULtimate Bullseye, i'm really not good at these moving games. i've been trying for a good score for almost a year on it and have yet to do very well, one fluke score of 126, but usually barely hit 30! if we need to hunt anything to find the hunter, i'm going to be stuck!

so far, nothing has been outside of Altador and again... sorry if I would offend anyone, but since it has gotten continuously more difficult to figure clues out, it think that would also be too simple...

but the idea of hunting something definately isn't bad...

Ultimate Bullseye is one of my favorite game, so I'd definately be up to a similar challenge for the last constellation. :)

That said, I don't think that would be very fair for people who have laggy computers or a not-so-accurate aim. So far, all of the puzzles have been related to completing specific requirements, rather than testing individual skills, and I think TNT would have to keep it that way for the game to remain fair.

i was not able to complete the gatherer alone. i had to trust a very good friend to complete it for me because of a very lagging computer. by the time i did the action for the petpet, my minute had passed and i had to start over. after about 2 hours of that, i gave up and PMed my info for help. luckily my friend has a very fast computer and loves helping me with my slowness problems! :D
if not for my friend, i would have been out of this plot, just because of my computer. it was suggested that i go to the library, but in this small town, even the library computers are slow and besides, they have sites like neopets blocked for some reason or another! o_O

Exactly my thoughts. of the many things you can say about TNT, one of them is that they really do try to keep things fair for everyone.

I love ultimate bullseye, but I top out at about 30 points too!

If they were to make you play a game, you probably would just have to send a score- any score at all - to accomplish that step.

I am wondering though what will happen when alla this is over.. I mean will there be a reward or someting.. and if yer patient that petpet will heal its jsut very irritating personally.

I clicked the appropriate button somewhere around the minute mark, sometimes 5 seconds before, sometimes 15 seconds after, not accurate at all. Sometimes I'd click feed or whatever, followed by check-in, sometimes just the button, pressing feed three consecutive times, and nothing really accurate. And I got it after 9-10 minutes or so, so maybe it doesn't mean all that much to follow the system to the dot :)

Just a little tidbit there...

Mon May 01, 2006 9:35 pm

It worked the first time for me...

I found that it updated 3 seconds after the minute (NST) and that if there was no change that it meant that i should click the same option again...
strange that it updates at different times for different people

hi

Do we know what days the plot has been updated, now that it has slowed down the past few weeks?

Does anyone know any good websites regarding Fractal patterns? I was talking with a friend and he said that he thinks that once the last constellation is found something will morph and we will have to discern the variation in the Fractal patterns based upon the key stars in the constellations. I think that would be too hard! :x
