What I did is just added all the stars instead of connecting them so I could see where they all were, and then it was pretty easy to see what needed to be connected

It does *not* give you the coords in order. You have to figure that out yourself :) What I did was put a piece of paper over my screen, then marked where the stars where and played connect the dots. Maybe not the most efficient, but worked for me! Try it :)

That worked! Thanks!

Well, I managed to get through the healing in 10 minutes. I restarted once, but that was before I actually understood what I was doing. Here are a few tips to people still trying to do any of the steps.

For the bandages: In IE, you may get a small icon appearing in the upper-left hand corner. If you get this, that means that the image is a pure image with no hidden links. You can use this method to see if the bandages are hanging off of the jelly blob or not. (Remember to move the mouse off and on the image between refreshes.)

For the waiting: Pay close attention to the poses of the petpet. Most are intuitive, if you have all the items and have seen the four poses. Also, there is no harm in checking in on the petpet regularly. If you're worried, you can refresh it every 15 seconds. I highly recommend to refresh on the :05 to get the new pose. If the pet doesn't get better after 10 minutes, restart.

For the constellation: can't help too much there. Just try and find the right shape and remember that all stars in the constellation are 10 units apart.

this is ridiculous. i have been refreshing the tomb for more than 10 minutes but i still don't chance upon the tear in the bandages!

do i need to leave the tomb and enter again?

What I do is use the "Add star" option so I can see all the stars for the given constolation, then I look at the image of the constilation that we found(i.e., the fauna constaltion on the paper) and then connect the neccisary stars.

Err, for the bandages, I refreshed on the :59 and got it on the first try. Maybe that's important? :)

Alas, no. It took me about 5 minutes of refreshing to finally get it. I left the tomb once or twice, but it didn't seem to make any difference.

To be honest, I gave up after the first 5 refreshes or so and found my Food/Pie before my Bandages. Then I went back to the "jelly" blob and found it in about 5-10 I think. Perhaps the order of finding the cures makes a difference? If not, please feel free to post your stats otherwise.

Be sure your browser settings are to "check for newer versions of stored pages > every visit to the page" (in "older" versions of IE -- 6 but not 7, I know has a bug with the 'automatic' setting in 6; FF has other issues, but if you use it I suggest you make sure that the same is occuring, in other words that you are not refreshing the same page you just loaded, but the newer version of it).

Using the Constellation Finder... I usually find the stars using "Add Star", then when I get them all, I go back and use "Connect Stars" to draw the image needed.

As for the Valeous.... the first time I spent about 18 minutes in there.... then I started when it was 10 minutes ast the hour, so I could keep track easier on how many minutes I have submitted actions.

I would wait until .08 Seconds past the minute, click "Check on Valeous", perform the appropriate action (feed, meds, bandage, wait) then I would do nothing until .08 past the minute again.... the "Check on Valeous", and repeat. At exactly 10 minutes of doing this... it worked.

I also noticed... and I could be wrong.... that if you make an error.... then the screen shifts down a bit... if that happens... I would start over. When I got all the steps in proper order, it did not shift down at all.

Here's the thought process I go through to find a constellation:

1. Find a large amount of colored stars (2, 3, or more) in a general cluster.

2. Find six stars within that area whose x and y coordinates each end in the same digit.

3. Open up the picture in a seperate window and connect according to the picture.

I want to thank you lothwe, I took a LONG pause, (I was VERY frustrated...) and when I came back, you had post the "alternate" way to heal the vaeolus, it helped me too to get over my long frustrating unsucessful row of useless trying.

I think I took that a little to seriously, I use to play neopet to calm down from frustrations in real life, but today, I let it get on me a lot. Not very useful for a game, but I suppose I'll just blame it all on TNT for creating too much addicting plots

It must be just me, but in 10/10 constellations I was looking for, the Virtupets Space station's track intersected it while I was looking. I tended to look along the track to find my constellations.

so, if nothing happens after the 10th try, we should leave the page and re-enter?

i mean, the vaeolus

EDIT: finally!!! after the third re-start, i managed to get it going :)

I haven't noticed this, but it could very well be true. Ever since I heard about the coloured star theory, I found where all my remaining constellations are (and they haven't moved that much, if at all), but I have noticed that the space station only passes by after a few minutes. And usually it passes at a certain tilt. The tilt may change from load to load, but I saw it. I'll have to check on my next constellation if the station passes through it or not.

Wow... I tried about 4 different methods before I finally healed my little PetPet. It only took 9 steps.

To find my stars, I just go to DarkFire's star mapper and uncheck the white stars. That leaves only a few coloured stars, which always seem to be in my constellations. Then I check the white stars again and try to find what looks like the constellation, and then make sure that all the coordinates end the same. That way, I avoid using the Coordinate finder, and I feel like I'm actually doing stuff on my own :D
