Hi,
I'm investigating the phenomenom 'Restock Ban'.
I'm pretty sure about these things:
- you get one when you restock too much(but how much is unknown for me)
- your ban can be ours, or days
- the ban is removed by a script, so previous point is logical
- you're banned for every official shop where you can haggle
My question is, how they check whether someone restocks too much or not. I mean, when is the number of refreshes the user made, deleted? Is it after you re-login, after you go to several other pages...? Maybe there is also another variable, in which the amount of time is saved.
They don't have to be afraid of autobuyers anymore; it's very complicated to make an autobuyer click on the neopet in the 'buy-image', even impossible in a short amount of time. They also have the 5 seconds rule.
I understand everybody must be able to buy something, but it's way less fun for us older users when we can't do some good business in shops anymore
.
My idea is to make a less sensible restock ban and a 10 or 15-seconds rule. With this you're still able to refresh (not too much), you have a good chance to buy something expensive and you give other neopets users a chance too.
