The gatherer does gather for fruits. The petpets are just some woodland critter friends. You know, like in those cinderella and snow white movies.

Why doesn't he just get his meepit fixed at the toy workshop?

i wouldn't know this if i wasn't a hopeless Hasee Bounce addict, but those petpets (except the buzz) are hasees. hasees love doughnutfruit, which is what Fauna is picking. then again, the phrase "flora and fauna" means plants and animals, so her name would suggest otherwise. so, she's gathering fruit "for" the petpets watching, but their probably imagining what's inside the basket. but her name means "animal life"!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry, i created more problems then i solved. o_O

SNak Edit: TOO MANY EMOTICONS! Not good!

Me too! I took a break from Neo, came back and was like: ":o! There's a new plot!", then started rushing around like mad to catch up. Now that I'd in speed, it's kind of like: "...next, please?".

This could be slightly off-topic but it was mentioned in a previous thread so I'm thinking it's OK: I really hope we don't have to battle the club president or anything like that. Knowing my luck, he'll be this all-powerful Blumaroo of Angry Spite and my pets will get clobbered. We have not the battle skills.

hehehe but you have the almightly, all-powerful astronomy club and if he threatens you with a protector again, you also have an astrolobe, and its all nice and shiny

and as for the tcg, the kadoatie is sleeping, but kadoaties cry when the lights go out :P

So basically she tends to the petpets I guess.

Good question...

by gathering fruit! finally, the "Mystery of the Gathering What?" is solved, and also explains the "Curious Incident of the Petpets on the Statue". sorry, i like sherlock holmes. :P so, she gathers fruit not petpets, but that helps the petpets. and now she's a constellation, she inspires petpets, which explains the card. so the "bear no fruit" thing is a clue. also, she's "bearing", aka carrying fruit.
bear1 Audio pronunciation of "bear" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (bâr)
v. bore, (bôr, br) borne, (bôrn, brn) or born (bôrn) bear·ing, bears
v. tr.

1. To hold up; support.

12. To produce; yield: plants bearing flowers.

bear fruit

To come to a satisfactory conclusion or to fruition.

so it's a pun. bear changes meaning, and fruit. by bear fruit, he means "To come to a satisfactory conclusion or to fruition." and refers to fauna "holding up" literal fruit. sorry, my dads a linguist ;)

EDIT: unless we have to find a bearog...which is a petpet!

I'm just glad you don't work for TNT. ;)

You don't, do you?

P.S. I meant that as a compliment. But if TNT thought like that, I'd have no hope of finishing this plot on my own; I haven't bothered memorizing the names of all the pets and petpets.

Has anyone considered the possiblity that she gathers both petpets and fruit?

Sun Apr 23, 2006 3:20 pm

Maybe she just gathers everything. Maybe she just finds stuff and gathers it - not just Petpets and fruit, but everything in Neopia!! Mwahahahaha.

Including history books!

She might just be a general gatherer, of stuff. And it just so happens that her statue is covered with Petpets for a perfectly legitimate reason.

Maybe the statues are the heroes, just frozen (and this has probably already been discussed - sorry if it has)

Hmm I hope she doesn't gather petpets - I think she should restock them lie the rest of us!

To Azzie: If we're speaking about (Meridell) Rubbish Dump...

I've got something from it :D
Maybe we need something from it ?
Like Collector. Cash was must-have to find clue.

there is a comma at the end which affects the url :)

and i was grateful the plot was slow, so i could catch up.. now i really can't wait.. :( hopefully monday/tuesday we will get a new one.

and tnt has been very good to keep up with pet days and also special random days despite having a plot ongoing :) something thats made me rather happy this time round, they seem really prepared for this one :)

and why are there petpets watching the stars in the tcg? if its related to fruits? o_O weirder and weirder

I'd rather they update the plot more, but they just have to have their random gravy themed days and what not...

Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:58 pm

guess we gotta look for a basket for our clue or something close to it

Sun Apr 23, 2006 6:12 pm

is the stars in the tcg her clue?
