when you finally get the combination of the punches correctly, the goblet moves slightly to the right, so if you're doing it very fast you should be able to notice

Wed Apr 12, 2006 2:29 am

I'm just randomly clicking punch bowls and checking the goblet each time. I haven't had to re-find the grarrl yet. (knock on wood). OF course, I haven't FOUND it yet, either o_O

EDIT:

Nice first post, very helpful. Of course, I won't notice since I'm on dialup...*grumbles* Welcoem to the forums!!

I found that using the tab key to check if the goblet was clickable was the way to go. After I clicked the punch bowls, I cycled through them using the tab-method that I normally use to see if there's anywhere new clickable in Aldador and that's what alerted me to my clickable goblet - just a hint that this might help some people find theirs.

argh ok I have clicked on every door thrice and still no punch club leader I think I'm going to explode if I don't find him.

EDIT: Finally almost an hours worth of clicking and now I find him.

Why bother clicking on the goblet again? If you want to see a picture of it, just talk to the lenny at the archives, he has all your clue pics archived.

*Meekly begs any Mod reading this to consider updating the NOTE in the First Post, about 'getting kicked out for drinking too much Punch', to include the information that it's suspected the position of the Grarrl in the Colosseum window changes randomly on the hour every hour (it seems to have been confirmed both inside and outside of the forum; maybe take notice just in case), if only to curtail any future posts of confused folks such as, "I can't find my Grarrl anymore, wah I lost him what the heck, is anyone else having this problem? I am using [insert your favorite browser here], Help!, etc."*

If you want us to SEE something and put it up on the first post, what is the logic in making it smaller?

In any case... it's already noted that if you get kicked out that the door to get to the grarrl MAY have changed. The notice covers the point and the extra info (I don't think) is necessary to add.

It should be added because the reason one gets kicked out isn't clicking too many punchbowls but an issue of timing. And it's not "MAY have changed" but "HAS changed." Some people need the logic streamlined for them, and the first post doesn't allow that.

Point taken.

I have a little theory - that the more of the links you travel to yourself for this clue, the easier it is. I found the coliseum and the punch club on my own, straight from Altador, and just clicked on three random bowls and then got the goblet and my clue. Easy.

Wed Apr 12, 2006 4:12 am

Since it was near the top of the hour, I decided to test the theory. It seems to be true. I was kicked out of the club at the turn of the hour. There's also a strong possibility then that, even if you weren't in the Punch Club itself and already tasting punch combinations, the location of the Punch Club guy changes upon the hour. This would explain how, if some people were just starting to look for their Punch Club guy and it was closing in on the top of the hour, they could try every door and window of the Coloseum and still not find him ('cuz Punch Club guy's location could have been reset and moved to a place the user had checked the previous hour). Well, hope that made sense.

Point I'm trying to make is that you might not necessarily have to be in the Punch Club itself for the changing of the hour to throw off your search.

Also, I had wondered whether those random phrases they toss you after every drink of punch are really random at all. Could they instead be the clues to an easier method of finding the secret punch combination? I was trying to figure this out but then I found the right combo and lost interest. Just throwing that out there in case it might be of use to those who are really hardcore and want to find the definitive and proper solution to everything. (I don't know how many of you have played the Nancy Drew series of games on your PC, but I help my daughter play and, in one of those games, we encountered a puzzle based on something like I outlined above. There was a self-proclaimed psychic and you had to guess what card he was holding [he claimed to be sending you the answer through his psychic powers]. To help you guess correctly, he would say something before you made your guess, and what he said was uniquely tied to what he was wanting you to guess [i.e., the correct answer]. You, as Nancy Drew, had to cooperate and guess all the cards correctly so that he would give you a clue to the overall mystery.)

I'm stuck. . .

I got my combination and went to the Lenny, then I found my constellation, but it's telling me it's not a constellation when I try to submit it. . .

Can anybody help me somehow?

you got your combination.. did you click on the goblet to get the clue..
the easiest way to check that is to go to lenny and make sure the gladiator is on his clue list

and were you careful to link all the stars together correctly?

Maybe you haven't found your constellation correctly. For help with finding it, go to the "Where's My Constellation?" thread. (http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25601) Someone can help you, as you may not have connected your constellation correctly.

Otherwise, though, make sure you clicked the 3 punch bowls, then the goblet, then the SUN on the goblet, then went to the Lenny, THEN found your constellation. I have a feeling you might have missed a step in there. :)
