Somebody on the Neoboards pointed out that the flames that the DF is holding has gotten bigger. (Apologies if this has already been said)

Whoa.

I'm suprised to say that this actually appears to be true...
The page http://home.neopets.com/templates/homep ... il_ixi_tia has a previosly saved image of the DF near the bottom(Comparisons of the gems and statues), and the flames were indeed clearly smaller before. The current flames have...well, more to them. Very odd...I don't know if it means anything though.

I'm not quite sure about that... unless it also changes without you doing anything plot-wise too. :p People keep saying such things on the boards without checking. Like mirages.

at least from the link of the older sleeper magica post, no doubt about it

Yes, but those are both CURRENT images. Which negates the point-sort of. I don't blame you for your skepticism, the neoboards are rarley a good source for information. xD

The fact that the faded DF looks like the bright one confuses me though. Does that mean that TNT just decided to update for no obviouse reason...or, if is plot related, is it supposed to mean somthing for everbody? *shrugs*

I am assuming that the image I referanced to in my above post is indeed an earlier image-it does look like one, just resized smaller for space on the page.

Now, this brings to mind the question: Does the fact that the flames changed mean anything? Could just be TNT deciding to make the flames be cooler. Could be a red herring...Which wouldn't suprise me. Seeing as how this is (supposedly) a mini-plot, all the things that could come from the flames being bigger, are out of the leuge of a mini-plot, and a supposed no-war plot. On the other hand, I would not be suprised if TNT actually lied about this being a mini-plot/no war plot. I don't think think that will happen though-it just woudn't suprise me, as its somthing that I could see them doing, just to vex us. But I still doubt it.

(Did that last paragraph even make any sense? Please tell me it did... )

What if they changed the fire on the day they opened the tomb as a hint for the first one and no one noticed in the run to the tomb?

Sounds like a reasonable theory. Unfortunatlly, I do not have a browser that allows me to view the "last modified" date. Does anyone here have a browser that can? (I think Opera can...but don't take my word on that.)

But you know what.
The flames are still the old ones (the smaller) when you look at her from the behind.
if they changed them for everyone why didn't they change that image too. O_o Or did they want to make it harder? (If it is what lunarmonger says.)

Well, the front image is much easier to update than the behind image would be. To do the behind image, you'd have to, in effect, redo the entire the whole HoH image. And anyway, its not really that neccisariy, you can't see the back image that well.

They are lazy sometimes? Or just did not think of it?

Thats good to know...I have a bad habit of repeating myself though. And run-on sentances. *sighs* I try to avoid it, but its hard. :P

Actually, if I as a total failure in digital arts could be able to do that in no time why wouldn't the professionals be able to do this even faster.
More over, I do not think the hoh image is done as one image, but with layers, every statue being on their own layer.
And that way it would be even more easier to change.
(And one can see the back image quite well. I noticed the flames being different even without my glasses. x__x)

just go to this link: http://ricall.freehostia.com/findconst. ... ddata=true
then copy and paste your data into the area provided, and get your results, and then just look for the stars specified

I have a very big problem with run-on sentences too, nothing to be ashamed of, and if anyone says it is, then I choose not to listen
periods are overrated
