To everyone who is looking for new "constellation place" ( like tomb and cloud ) on Altador map:

I think that WAVE will be on water surface and GLADIATOR in that colloseum, but it's JUST theory...

Can you get another image or PM your star data? You are missing a large piece from the height of your map

If you look just a little down and to the left of the sleeper you can see a red star slightly lower than a purple star. That makes up the third and fourth stars going from left to right on the top part of your constellation.

Or, if you send me your coordinates for all the stars I can look up the coordinates of that constellation directly.

Does that help?

That answers my question exactly......... I was trying to add a new star to the constellation...... good to know that I'm supposed to use an "existing" star. Thanks again.............. I feel soooooooo dumb!!!! :)

My pleasure! Things like that happen to everyone, and it's been a really common problem here, so don't feel bad at all. (= Matter of fact, I only needed one more person to have the problem to feel like I need to add it to the info in the first post. And I used to work testing and providing quality assurance for video games, so I can assure that there is no problem too weird to pop up, and I've also seen people interpret instructions (or lack thereof) in far stranger ways. *grin* Personally, I think someone should have added instructions for the telescope either in the flash file or on the page to prevent this problem... or they could have just not called it "Add Star", but I don't work there and I really wonder if they even have a QA department sometimes, so there you are. I'm going to stop rambling about this now and go fix the first post. (=

I don't understand how to get the little picture on the star mapper thing...or did you somehow save your data into a paint program or something? I'm confused! hehe, but not overly confused to the point of frustration...lol

1. You put your data into the star mapper
2. You make it 100%
3. You hit Ctrl+Print Screen or maybe alt for some people.
4. You paste it into paint or any graphics program.
5. Get the template
6. Paste it over the star mapper image (DO NOT DESELECT IT, IT MUST REMAIN SELECTED FOR YOU TO MOVE IT AROUND!)
7. Make it transparent. In paint you do that by selecting the bottom image of two on the toolbar. They will show you at the bottom of the tool bar a bunch of shapes with a cut out pasted over them. Top has white background, bottom has transparent. You want the transparent.
8. Move it around until you see stars in all boxes.

That's it.

I think it was there before..But I cannot be sure. I agree with those ideas too, they make sense

Does anyone happen to have an *old* screen shot of Altador? I doubt, but it is worth a shot.

Thu Mar 30, 2006 6:56 pm

The island was there the entire time.

How do you add a star to the map? I click the "add star" thing on the menu, and the cursor changes to that hand, but when I click where my new star should go (on the dreamer constellation) nothing happens except the map moving. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I'm using firefox?

"Add Star" does not put a new star on the map. It adds a star that already exists to a constellation without drawing a line. (And don't worry, this is a common confusion.)
