I have a question about this challenge. Is the spokesperson the one coming up with the questions, or does the entire team create the questions with the spokesperson only submitting them?

If it's the second, it doesn't really matter to me who is the spokesperson for our team. If the spokesperson has to create all of the questions though, I nominate Noo for the B Sharps!

It's the latter. BTW, I won't choose all of the questions you send. I'll only pick 20 or so to put down, because some of them might be too hard or obscure. They'll still count toward the pot, though. I'll put down the same number of questions for both, to give everyone a fair chance. My point is: Make your questions hard, but make them possible for someone who knows a lot.

P.S. When you send me your questions, don't send me the answers. I'll reply with my answers, and you can tell me how many I got right.

Thanks for clearing that up Toso!

(By the way, is it okay if we call you Toso instead of typing your entire username? Just curious)

Of course. By the way, the deadline for this is NOON FRIDAY.

 Oh yeah, I'll need help. :P The only thing the spokesperson does alone is send in the trivia questions, and there are certain areas my knowledge is sorely lacking in. :P I figure, since there's just three of us we should all send whatever questions we think of to each person, and then whatever we all decide are the best I'll send in to Toso. :)

Sorry guys. I've been unable to get on for long at a time for a couple of days now, but I should have regular updates from now on. Anyways, here's how this will work: Each team will answer the opposing team's questions. You will work together to decide on the answers, and then post them in an official format. The only thing I will pay attention to is the official answers, which you will designate by making them BOLD and DARK BLUE. Here are the questions:

Cheery Tomatoes: You must answer the following questions:

1. What is the only animal that can get leprosy besides humans?
2. In the board game Monopoly, what is the non-Railroad property that is landed on the most?
3. How much does a cubic yard of air weigh at sea level?
4. What is the fastest growing plant in the world?
5. What was the first spacecraft to visit Venus?
6. What was the profession of the man that invented the electric chair?
7. Research on this animal lead to the development of the CAT scan.
8. What member of George W. Bush's White House team has logged the most hours atop a unicycle?
9. Where does the name "Reebok" originate?
10. A period of five years is called a ___.
11. How many paintings did Vincet Van Gogh sell during his lifetime?
12. What was TIME Magazine's Man of the Year in 1982?
13. What 2002 film did Jesse Jackson call "insensitive," drawing the ire of the National Association of Cosmetologists?
14. The formula for which soft drink has never been patented?
15. Apple seeds contain a compound of what poisonous substance?
16. Some ripe bananas can come in what colour besides yellow?
17. What is the world's largest rodent?
18. What is the first animated film to be nominated for an Oscar in the "Best Picture" category?
19. Ernest Vincent Wright's fifty thousand-word novel, Gadsby, contains no words with this letter.
20. Thomas Edison had a fear of ____.

B-Sharps: You must answer these questions:

1. What is the proper name for a female cat which has not been fixed?
2. In what play would you hear the phrase 'If you offer me pheasant, I'd rather have grouse'?
3. Besides Lost, what TV show have Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim and MC Gainey all appeared in?
4. Who sings 'Politically Uncorrect'?
5. Which Shakespearean play features characters named Gonzolo, Trinculo, and Adrian?
6. What is the term for DNA passed from mother to child?
7. What is the scientific name for the Cicada Killer Wasp?
8. What fruit comes in such varieties as Fuerte, Gwen, and Zutano?
9. The government of South Africa killed what civil rights activist during the apartheid?
10. In what song will you hear the following; "So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?'
11. Attosa R. is the editor - in - cheif of what magazine?
12. 'Oh, well, imagine, as I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor' Is the first lyric in what song?
13. In Phantom of the Opera, Christine's best friends' name is what?
14. The ~ symbol can also be formed by pressing what combination of the alt key and numbers?
15. The name Nicole is derived from what name?
16. In the Gare de Lyon train accident, how many compartments' brakes were disabled?
17. What human mistake caused the Hotel New World disaster in Singapore?
18. What did 'eBay' stand for originally?
19. What colour of uniform did the Fascist armies wear?
20. What are natural Modal fibers made from?

The winning team will obviously be the one that answers the most questions correctly. Also, I need to add money to the pot for every question I got wrong. That's 8000 NP!

The pot currently stands at 57700 NP.

The first one is worded badly. Many animals can get get leprosy if they're injected with the parasite, but there's only one that can get it naturally.

And all of them have a single answer that is correct.

Edit: Actually, there are two for the first, but ONLY two. (gotten from an up-to-date source)

All we have left is #9 and #19. If someone gets them, please send them to me and I'll post the final list. :P

1. Queens
2. Cats
3. Walker: Texas Ranger
4. Gretchen Wilson
5. Tempest
6. mtDNA (mitochondrial)
7. Sphecius speciosus
8. Avocado
9. Steve Biko
10. Bohemian Rhapsody
11. Seventeen Magazine
12. "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! at the Disco
13. Meg Giry
14. Alt 126
15. Nicolette
16. 7 brakes
17. A miscalculation in the weight load capacity of the hotel.
18. Echo Bay
19. Black
20. Cellulose

Okay, here is our final, complete list. (Hopefully)

15. Apple seeds contain a compound of what poisonous substance? Cyanide
16. Some ripe bananas can come in what colour besides yellow? Okay, there are red bananas, which can have maroon to dark purple skin and pink flesh when ripe, and cooking bananas can be green when ripe, so I don't know which answer is the correct one. (Links can be supplied if necessary.)
17. What is the world's largest rodent? Capybara
18. What is the first animated film to be nominated for an Oscar in the "Best Picture" category? Beauty and the Beast

You guys got 18 right. You missed Nicolas on #15 (you put Nicolette) and it's not Alt 126, it was Alt 0126. That means the B Sharps win the round! I'm really sorry for being so picky about the answers, but everyone would have gotten 20/20 if I hadn't! The special challenge is as follows:

The team needs to compile a list of the ten most interesting facts they can possibly find. They can be weird, obscure, anything. I'll choose one of the facts, and whoever found it will be given a choice much llike last challenge: take 10K walk-away or put it in the pot, with immunity.

Um, hello, theonlysaneone? We got 19, they got 18. 19 > 18. Cheery Tomatoes should win.

But anyway, Alt + 126 does work. However, for no. 4 they left out Merle Haggard and for no. 17 they didn't mention the architects forgot the dead load...

Oh, and amarise, told ya you should put 'none' for the unicycle question. :P

Yeah, 126 does the same thing.

4. It's right.
17. Dead load isn't really that important, a miscalculation is a miscalculation, it's still in the weight load capacity.

We had an answer for number 8, so yours is actually wrong. :P
