However, what if we are not working of the TCG? Seeing as there were about 20 gems on each ceiling, what if the constellation is derived from the ceiling gems? That makes it possible that every statue could have six points.

Hmm.

Ok I have never even seen one of these TCG's *cough* but am I correct in assuming the pictures here: http://www.boomspeed.com/zaniam/contellations.jpg
are TCG?

If so then we have to be dealing with TCG's.

Yes and no. They do appear on the cards, but in a different manner.

A thought that just occured to me, if those pics were in the flash - they would in theory be the right size yes? I think what we will eventually be looking for is each of those, without rotation or resizeing. Obviously they aren't there yet so . . . I agree with Pip.

I also think that they will be easyier to spot than we think. It is afterall, only a minor plot.

I agree. I think the glyphs are what need to be focused on.

And, seeing as it is a minor plot and nothing huge... I'm not sure if this is a red herring. LDP was a huge plot, so red herrings are understandable. But would TNT go to the trouble of making such a big, complicated red herring for a tiny plot? I hope not. :-\

I'm going to look at these glyphs again.

We made a star chart from the coordinates page right?
Ok..looking through my telescope..that ends about 1/2 inch BEFORE my page made of the sky from the coordinates page. I NEED that star for my hunter constellation. Any ideas? Or did that make sense to anyone? lol

A large percentage of stars given to us are out of range. I believe that if a star is out of range, then it's not part of the constellation. They wouldn't put a vital star past +/- 340.

You can see the distribution of my stars at http://www.geocities.com/destroydarling/stars1.txt for example. After sifting through all my coordinates, a much smaller percentage of stars were actually within range. I believe those (the ones within range, respectively for our skies seeing as we all have different coordinates) are the ones to focus on.

Finally uploaded my starchart. Sorry it's so big, but much I figure it's easier to try matching stuff if it's the same scale as in the telescope. Sorry if BW exceeded too;)

I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that I've been looking at this thing all wrong. For some reason I've been assuming that there are multiple, if not all 12, constellations hidden on my map, but now I've no idea why I should think that. It makes much more sense if there's only one and that would explain why I can't find a match for my Torakor, he aint there. That might also explain why so few people are managing to match a constellation - we have to find which constellation it is and find which six stars to connect up in it.

What if the statue we found our oil behind actually does matter? Assuming that we aren't looking for exact TCG constellations, but rather stars that fit the glyphs... what if that is the constellation we need to search for?

Edit: Unless if the person above me had the statue of Torakor and can't seem to find Torakor, then that would debunk this theory.

I may be stubborn, but I think Adam is the key to this whole thing.
I've been trying to locate more adams from my map ever since I first posted that. :/

also what about the people with Siyana even if we fallow the glyphs it would still need a hole lot of stars in it.

I agree ... I've been looking at all my semi-tranparent statues on the nicely mapped starfield, thinking that there is not a lot of room for them on my map, how did TNT ever scramble everyone's stars and still have room for all the formations? I probably only need to find 1.

I also think that we should be matching the gems to the stars, not the TCG cards to the stars.

No luck yet, but I punched out the gems from the ceiling pictures and have been dragging them over my star chart trying to find six that show through the holes. I wonder if the fact that there's six star types means each constellation will require one of each?

And I fully agree with that - the idea of using the cards seems nonsense as that makes the gems pointless.
