NOTE TO EVERYONE: Remember, the taskbar takes up room of your wallpaper, so don't add to much detail on the bottom, or add text, as it'll be covered up. A good way to measure is to take a screenshot of your desktop, and then crop it to not include the sidebar. For instance, on my computer (800x600 Windows ME), it would be an 800x572.
Rachel - It's pretty simple, but sometimes, simple is good. However, I don't realy like the colouring of the buildings - reminds me of .gif discolouration in Paint. :\ The outline is nice, and the blurriness adds a nice touch.
Dawn - Everytime I see the white, I think it's smaller than it is. Ehe. But, the shadowed text is kind of distracting, so I would tone down the opacity to maybe lower than 50%. Also, I don't really like the font you used for "Zooropa". I think it would've looked better with something like Century Gothic or Coolvetica.
Neko - Two minutes, eh? Looks more like two hours. You did a very nice job of resizing the image to fit the screen, but I think reisizing it up caused a couple of pixel problems.
http://i1.tinypic.com/rssvia.jpg -- I've circled them, but it's a bit hard to see. Sorry about the JPG compression. Still learning how to use the GIMP on Linspire. But, I don't see any other problems, except maybe the blur on the image. A little annoying.
Marissa - I think saving it in JPG killed it a little, there's a few artifacts like around the text and the girl. But, you did a very good job of getting rid of the artifacts on the images.
It's simplicity is wonderful. I'm pretty speechless.
Nikita - Sorry to hear that.
Hope to see you next PPTTG. ^^
Medli - MATTIE WEST.
I see room for icons, but some people may not. You have the left of his body, and then the right of his head. It's a good wallpaper for people who don't have many icons, like me.
I love the swirl brushes, but the grid doesn't look to swell on him. Also, the font you used for "It's like you're", "right infront of me" and "I'm reaching out...but you can't see" looks rather pixelly, like it's not anti-aliased.
I WANT YOUR BACKGROUND SKILLS But, Mattie West is too pale.
stinkyllama - No eye twitching, OK? I love it. The background's amazing, and the image colouring is great. But, the second image looks, as I call it, JPG ravaged. That's partly because you had to resize it up. Little trick - when resizing up, use the Edge Preserving Smooth. I believe there's also some sort of JPG Artifact Remover on PS 7, but I'm not sure.
Ken - *points at little note* There's a few white pixels near the Kau's hair, and the plushie looks a bit pixelly. But, aside from that, don't see many problems. There's plenty of room for icons, though. o_o For someone like me, it'd be hard for me to fill up the space. (
This gives you a good idea of how many icons I usually have)
Kiay - I absolutely love it. But, the red is a little annoying, as Rikio said. If they were colourized black, it would've gone better with the darkness.
Amethyst - I don't believe I've seen too many Vector wallpapers. If you want me to, I think I may be able to fix them for you.
Although, on the sparkles. They should've been fainter, further spread out, and part of the whole desktop, and the background makes her hair
extremely hard to see. Also, I believe there's a bit of red on her neck strap that keeps catching my eye.
LAQ - The background's rather...*after fifteen different spelling attempts* intriguing. I think I spelt that right. Anyway, in my opinion, there's too much blue. I would've liked more purple, but that's just me.
Moogie - Rikio makes a good point. The fading out on her face looks a little bad. If it had been closer to hair, it would've made a big difference. Also, the black background is really helpful for people using Windows 95 up to Windows 2000, as they don't have the clear icon option like XP, and that makes majourity of desktops looks ugly. <_<
Iath-em - It reminds me a bit of the artwork for Relient K's
Apathetic EP for some reason. Anyway, I really like it. It's very fancy, but the clouds don't go too well, and I believe if the stripes were at anywhere from 50%-80% opacity, you would be able to focus on the whole thing, rather than just them, or atleast, that's what my eye catches.
Rachel, Amethyst and Medli. Sorry guys.
