It takes you that long to get there. :p It's like how it takes me 3 days to get out of Geraptiku.

EDIT: To the author of the next message...I doubt they'd use an LDP crystal. What about the poor people that didn't do that plot? they'd be not allowed to do this plot, which we've already decided isn't going to happen. TNT wouldn't exclude people.

That doesn't mean the items can't still be obtained somehow. Maybe the places they were found are still accessible?

Well, see, the ancient Greeks used half cylinders/tubes. The 'slot' is the open part. The lenses slide into the opening.

Yes, we all know Neopets have a lot of interesting studies in temporal physics but as we (especially myself) learned in the LDP, this is neither the time nor the place. Just accept that this is one imaginary world that works only to its creators' whims.

also in the tower the color of the sky in the windows are light blue, whereas the opening is dark and starry.

Also in reply to the people wondering about the corridor behind the dark faerie, its the corridor that you walk through to get to the statues because part of it can be seen if you look at the Wave or the Gladiator.

I saw some suns in the Illustrious Armoury, the Warrior's Round Shield with 8 points, the Altadorian Initiate Sword with 5 points, the Altadorian Battle Helmet with 8 points, and the Warrior's Round Shield with 8 points too.

Where are you getting this information? I don't think the ancient Greeks used anything of the sort, but rather, they viewed the stars with the naked eye. And the only thing that kept the lens in place was the fact that it was wedged tightly enough in? And I'm pretty sure that Galileo's telescope was an enclosed tube, as would be most of the telescopes of the time. Or at least, I have not seen anything that suggests the contrary.

Will you leave jellysoup alone about this? In honesty, the telescope is more like he said than you. Have you researched this?
Here's a history magazine's re-creation of a Greek telescope, to prove his point.

Of course the telescope is more likely to exist than not.

And I'm afraid that I didn't go quite so far back into the google images to find that image (I did end up finding it). And I did do some searching but didn't find anything. Thank you for finding something that to the contrary (even if I don't think it'll turn out that way).

ive read/scimmed through all your splits and guess work. Youve helped me greatly. But I dont think anyone has noticed though that the windows in the observatory are the color of the day like in the HoH....but the sky where the dome opened is like the night...with constellations. Hope maybe i can be of some help..

just an observation if you look out the window on the right side then you will notice a faint star near the bottom also the gradual shading of the sky(yes I realize it's not getting lighter fas enough but we will ignore that for now) could easily be infered as it being during dusk or dawn, so it isn't like were going from night to day in the matter of a foot or so.

That picture of the telescope is from Xena, warrior princess.

Regardless, tube or lenses, it looks to me like at least one part of the telescope is missing, maybe more.

Assuming we get the telescope working, if it's a regular passive star-viewing telescope, I suspect we'll be looking for the relevant guardians' constellations. Maybe the constellations on the TCG art, or perhas the star patterns from the ceiling panels. Maybe finding the constellations will reveal something to an astronomer somewhere and the plot will proceed.

As an aside about the ceiling panels, in spite of multiple attempts to line the stars up with the images of the statues and/or the TCG art, I don't think they're supposed to be representations of the constellations. All the gems are the same size, none are brighter or dimmer or different colored. Still they seem to be part of the puzzle. Maybe they'll change a bit as the plot progresses and as the file names seem to insinuate.

Now if the telescope is some kind of magical statue-animating faerie-releasing historic telescope-of-epic-proportions integral to the plot, there might be some kind of game or riddle or thing to make it work. Heck there migth even be a quest to get the telescope parts and then do whatever needs to be done.

Maybe there will be another NPC introduced related to the telescope. That would be cool.
