Does pikachu's special ability prevent him from dying from HRB?

No, but it won't stop him from using it. Since the last HRB was really meticulously planned out, I was able to weave a story around it. This time, I just saw the bat and thought 'go for it'. Thus all the planning was thrown out the window. Sadly, that meant no immunity or special rules for certain characters, and no real retaliation against the bat's user, unlike last time. My only advice is make a really appeal for Pikachu since that would be the biggest guarantee for him not getting hit. You'll just have to wait ~23 hr to see who uses and who gets hit.

Now that we are almost at half the characters dead, time to talk about which ones won't make it. Ness and Samus are already dropped from the next game. They will be replaced by Cloud and Sonic. Wario could also replace a character. Three more new characters can be introduced, but I don't know who. You know who though. Suggest some video game characters you would like to see. Take your time. There is no limit to how many you suggest, but there are some ground rules.

1: No characters from games based on TV shows or movies.
2: It must be easy to find a lot of information on the game and characters. If not, please provide a site.
3: Preferably characters with lots of moves that I can widdle down to only four (not a major requirement [since I faked it for Sonic and Wario], but still important).
4: No characters from FPS games, unless they have special skills besides their guns.
5: If you want an esoteric character, please provide a website (in English preferably) where #2 can be found.
6: RPG and fighting game characters are liked since they meet a lot of these criteria
7: There are some limits to the number of characters from certain games. I will list how many can be added from where below.

8: Since you will also choose the characters to be dropped (up to four), up to six votes per person (due to low number of players). No repeat votes.
9: The last four characters to survive will not be dropped, so it might be best to save your drop votes until later.
10: Dropped characters by vote will be determined by majority based on how many people vote (ex. five voters, three votes for majority).

11: One last note, I reserve the right to reject character requests or a dropped character vote at whim. Sorry, but I think some characters should stay even if they aren't that good.

Yoshi uses Fire Flower on Ganondorf, Purin, and Ice Climbers for -1 damage each.

Kirby uses final cutter on Ganondorf for -6 damage and -1 damage to himself

Story as of now:
Kirby happily hops over to the HRB and picks it up. He hums 'Casey at Bat' as he takes a practice swings. 'Not so fast there, Bonds,' a looming voice says. No, not Bud Seling, but Mewtwo. Psychically, Mewtwo rips the HRB from Kirby's hands and hurls the puffball into the air. He points to the center field bleachers with the bat. When Kirby returns to earth, Mewtwo knocks him out of the arena Babe Ruth-style. After Mewtwo was done posing, Crazy Hand fired a pair of Bomb fastballs, beaning Purin and Ice Climbers for -3 damage each. Looks like Ice Climbers are having a little trouble taking their base.
