Is just me or are Neocola Tokens Restocking less?

I am just so disgusted with this whole situation. Honest restockers really shouldn't have to sit there and figure out whether there is someone with an AB (offtopic: whenever I see AB I think people are talking about me... ^_^) is there or not. I'm guessing that if enough people have it, most main shops are out of comission at most times. *sigh*

And its so stupid when u think about it that there are ppl out there that thrive on scamming neopets......ITS A GAME!! i dont get it....but i dont even really play for np nemore....i just play games and just recently started trying to make more np.

Earlier this morning i tried tokens (first time with them)...and if there was an auto buyer it was just slowing down the shop...cause my connection was going uber-slow and i still got the first one i saw!

Ditto. I hate the whole AB situation. I'm not really sure what Neo can do about it, but I wish someone (not necessarily TNT) could think of a situation that would get rid of AB for good. (Not likely)

i missed lots of tokens again..i hate these AB..but i wonder what they do in other shops while they can restock a medieval petpet or other rare items..

yep sorry to say this...as restockers, we have to accept that there can never be a permanent solution to autobuyers. there's also no real method to distinguish between a real restocker and an autobuyer or neopets wouldn't have to keep revamping the restock system. what we can do is to beat those autobuyers by looking at other strategies. some restockers avoid the shops where autobuyers are stationed and avoid the popular stuff(neocola token, medicine, spooky food, draik eggs...). what i do is open up several shop windows (for me it's up to eight), thus increasing my chance of spotting something. the only chance you have against an autobuyer is to spot the item b4 he sees it.

That's the thing, they don't have to see the item. They have lists of items that the program looks for *built in*. I'm assuming that it can find them instantaneously. The program finds them automatically. The only shot TNT has is to constantly revamp the restock system.

maybe neopets should insert random characters behind the item names, for example Green,Neocola*Token..they would not look good but they may stop autobuyers..

and my net gets laggy when a new item is restocked..i can't understand it..

That lag is a result of server communications within Neopets - not your computer. At least, not afaik. It happens to me, too...the haggle.phtml page loads very jerkily.

I hate to sound so impotent about the whole autobuyer thing, but really - there is very little that we professional restockers can do about it. We just have to grin and bear it and keep plugging away, and keep looking for items that sell with some degree of ease. Iron Beds? Good profit, but slow sales, so for me: No. But Chocolate Pteri eggs? Sure, why not? Lower profit, easier sale, more of them restock, so better chances of making money while surviving the autobuyer at the same time.

It's the way of the world - some people will cheat because they're otherwise tools, and it hurts the rest of us.

But that wouldnt work because autobuyers use a "Containing the following phrase" system...
