I sent you one, but I decided I'm not going with that answer, so you don't need to confirm it.

Well there obviously is a trick to this, but what the trick is is beyond me. If the answer ends up being 100, I'm going to be angry...

I :x Lenny Conumdrums.

But, I figured the only chance was to get an answer in ASAP... Maybe I'll play with some checkers.

Edit: dang it.

:x Silly me messed up the trick, so I was wrong. However, the right answer is still a 3 digit number that does not add up to 1.

Good luck.

I actually tried to do it manually (with a piece of paper and some pennies). I submitted an answer; I'm still not sure it's right, but it fits endeavourl's hints.

do the dubloons have to be fully on the tray, or can a bit of them be hanging off the edge of the tray?

Can you be a little more specific than that? The two different answers that people are getting both fit that criteria. My answer was a multiple of three consecutive prime numbers.

So was mine (assuming I multiplied the three correct numbers :P ).

The other answer doesn't fit that criteria, so I'd assume you got it. However, there's a little bit of controversy over what the correct answer is. If anyone else gets this answer, don't submit it. Try the other one.

i think the answer is 100? is it ? cuz u said a 3 digit number that does not add up to 1. and theyre 10 rows going down so if they are 10 more to the side i think its 100.

Your avatar keeps throwing me off, thedumdone. I keep mistakening you for theonlysaneone.

Also, I concur with theonlysaneone. I think my answer's wrong now (grah). This LC's really not as simple as it looks, regardless of whether you're coming up with the "easy" answer or not.

44Anime_babe: You might want to check your math again. ;)

Edit (post-thedumdone's new post): I think people should refrain from posting their answers in this thread, in case one of them is actually right. If you need confirmation for an answer, I suggest that you PM someone who had already posted that they've figured out the answer. :)
