Account frozen

I was chatting on my guild message boards when I got kicked off and when I tried to log back in, I was told I was frozen for using an autobuyer. ??? I don't buy from shops that much, I KNOW nobody has been on my account besides me, I don't use cheat programs, and now isn't there a code you have to enter to buy things from shops, thus rendering autobuyers unusable? Has anyone else gotten this message? I did send in a complaint form, and I'll be e-mailing them shortly. I just wanted to see if this is a bug or something

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure Autobuyers can use character identification somehow. It seems they're new autobuyers now though, I haven't seen items go this fast ever. Your account probably somehow got caught in the batch of freezings. Try emailing the site and explaining your situation.

You think things are going too fast too? Thought It was just me. O_o Either way, submit a frozen form and write them a letter.

Yup, it's driving me up the wall. Anything and everything in the Bakery that is worth anything is going so fast that I can't even grab something simple like a Minty Mocha Cake.

Your best bet is to wait for a form reply... that should give you a person to contact. If you can't wait, I don't know if mailto:william@neopets.com is there anymore, but you could try that.

Optikal, I hope you get an answer and a good one, soon! There are cases of other innocent people being frozen for using an ab'er when they know they haven't!
I also hope when you get a response it's not from certain staff, there are those who will work with you, look into things and unfreeze you. There are also a couple who will just say No, you broke the rules, you won't be getting your account back.
In the case of being accused of using an ab, it's kind of like the using multiple accounts freezing -- very difficult to get your account back
I'm going to keep my fingers and toes crossed that you're one of the lucky ones who does!
As far as new ab? I lurk on the BD alot (don't battle, but you can find some info there that's not on other boards), and apparently there are new ones. At least that's what some of the regs there are saying. I sure wish people who had this kind of knowledge would put it to better use than trying to cheat on a game site!

Well, I was frozen for promoting poronography. (Mods - delete this if you find it too offensive). Someone posted sexual symbols and I reported them. And posted "Reported" on the board. I was frozen. And the person who posted the symbols in the first place was not. Just shows you the fairness of Neopets. I want my Lenny avatar back.

Oh dear. I've seen that time and again - someone being reported/warned/frozen for quoting/posting something that someone else wrote, usually it's a neomail that someone will copy and post asking if it should be reported. Unfortunately, it's never a good idea to quote/copy anything questionable, even just for verification that it's reportable. Same with posting a username on the boards or even your guild board, no matter what the reason - that's considered harassment and you can be reported for that.
I reported someone for something offensive and it took over a week for that person to be frozen.

I've discovered that one of the safer things you can do is, if you're going to go around reporting people for breaking the rules, not to post "reported," or anything like that.
When I report a neoboard topic, I check to make sure it's reportable, hit the report button, and slink away. People will report you for reporting them, and then make up something on the report form. I get the distinct impression that not all monitors actually look at the boards that they get report forms for, and just read the submission...and that's the end of someone's neopets career.

I think TNT might be suffering from stress or something, they seem to be doing a lot of weird things lately. O.o Or maybe it's just me...

i had a 3 year account almost *it would b in december 11*, i got frozen for having a auto buyer and one i never used one in my life and two i have been gone for 2 days and came back to being frozen when it was ok when i left. a bunch of other ppl have been frozen for that too and they haven't ever used a autobuyer. i am going out of my mind cause i worked so hard on my account and my bf wants me to just start a new account and him get the items for me but i can't. my account is sentimental for me after 3 years. i hope neopets fixes the glitch. i posted a board about this too.
