I think that the theory of Hagrid being the Prince is better than the Dudley theory. Hagrid is half giant. He very well could be heir to the leading position of a large group of giants. Dumbledore obviously thought that the giants were important to the war against Voldemort. Perhaps Hagrid will play a large role in winning over the giants' alliegance.

I'm also thinking the Prince might be Firenze or one of the centaurs. They are considered "half breeds" by the Ministry, aren't they? And centaurs aren't exactly push-overs. They want basic rights, and if the Ministry gives them those rights, they may be able to help defeat Voldemort.

I would go for the obvious. Voldemort is a half blood and something along the lines of the prince of darkness though Hagrid being a prince would be pretty cool except that in the 5th book you see that giants have a leader who is just big and ugly and gets killed off sometimes. -.0

I heard that the writer said it was NOT Harry or Voldemort.

But she didn't say that it wasn't Tom Riddle.

Voldemort was born as Tom Riddle. We first find this stuff out and meet him CoS. CoS was almost titled Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She said that she changed the title after deciding to edit out parts of the book and put them later in the series instead (obviously book 6). CoS was all about Tom Riddle, why would she have considered calling it HBP if the HPB wasn't Riddle?

I dont think he would get Kreacher, because he is Bound to the "family". Harry isnt blood and thats what it goes by in magic world.:)

Who WOULD he go to then? The Malfoys? The Weasleys? (all pure bloods are connected)

Probably to the Weasleys simply because then he'd be used as a spy etc. etc. Though the Malfoys might want them since Harry lost them their house-elf Dobby.

She's onto it. xD It simply makes more sense that the series is coming to a conclusion seeing as there's to be 7 books in total, so the next two have to be about Harry and Voldemort because that's what the series is about! The prophecy! One must destroy the other.

But I want them both to die! Of course Voldemort can't win, that's just crazy. But if Harry doesn't die, I'll be very disappointed.

I agree, but for a different reason. If Daniel Radcliffe goes through all the movies (He probably will >___________<), there will be no greater satisfaction than seeing him die :D

Tue Jul 13, 2004 3:55 pm

They both cant die. The profocy said one will live and the other will die by the others hand. Its not Tom riddle because thats the same person come on she wasNT talking bettween the lines.

1) Not Harry
2)Not the Dark lord.
3) what luck would it be to be hagrid with only one human parent?
4) NONE of the weaslys because full blooded can be tracked from the begining. Thats what that thing on the wall at Blacks house was(in the book). It was a family tree tracked back from the begining and all full blooded familys would have that.
5) Not Hurminoe because she has muggle parents(not squib!)

So who does that leave? Dumbldor, because we know little about him. All we know is he was from Griffendor. Plus we that know the books know he is a powerful wizard.

No one would get that house elf he would most likely kill himself because of his loyalty.

I still think it's Firenze or another one of the centaurs. They ARE half blood, aren't they?

Tue Jul 13, 2004 9:41 pm

That dont mean they are half blood. So a wizard mated with a horse?

I'd think I'd pay to see that just to see that.

Well, we all know Harry's going to defeat Voldemort in the end. It's so incredibly obvious.

Wed Jul 14, 2004 12:32 am

Maybe he'll defeat Voldemort, then get hit by a Greyhound bus!

Wed Jul 14, 2004 12:43 am

Man I cant believe some of you people, why would you want the hero of the movie to die? If you dont like him why do you even post in this thread?

They never actually said that he couldn't see the dementor, but it didn't say that he could see it, either. By the time Harry turned on his wand (as opposed to a flashlight, lol), Dudley had already run into the fence and was on the ground. Also, at Harry's hearing, when Dumbledore is about to bring Mrs. Figg in as a witness, he said "We do, in fact, have a witness to t he presence of dementors in that alleyway, other than Dudley Dursley, I mean."

All Dumbledore said was Dudley witnessed the dementors' presence being there. He never said Dudley saw the dementors.

They like the book and Harry Potter, they just hate the actor Danielle Radcliffe(Danielle was deliberate) Not that I can blame them. He's a horrible actor.

Wed Jul 14, 2004 1:48 am

Im not sure he is what I pictured in the book. Plus he looks like the writers thought of him. Its the movie writer that didnt make him like the book. He was more mouthy in the books but he wasnt in the movies.
