I've said this before but I still think that place will catch on fire while the leader of Altador plays the fiddle.

History has hinted that it could have been Nero that started the fire.

Besides, I this the king will be stabbed by his best friend on the floor of the senate. Or maybe betrayed by his wife and cousin after returning from a long seige. Or get lost at sea for 20 yrs after the forementioned seige. Or... (tries hard to remember his Greek and Roman history/mythology)

You're thinking of Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, and Captain Nemo. I think. Nto too sure about the last one. Anyway, the reason people keep bringing up Neoschools is that it's the most remembered example of a huge TNT letdown. It's like when there's a scandal in the government, and the news guy calls it 'Memogate' or somethingelse-gate.

I lost a lot of np stocking a shop with neoschool items. I'm wary now when something new comes along. Newbies need to know that not everything that begins will have an ending.

Generally when it comes to plots it's ok to count on an end. Seeing as how we have a new land and many pointers to a plot (like the video game and the hints that have been dropped by TNT in the Editorials). And even if it doesn't happen within the next couple weeks, in the long run there will eventually be a plot. Buy low, and sell high! :D

There were times during the LDP that I wouldn't have agreed. That thing went on for ages.

1 out of 3. It was Julius, Agamenmon, and Odysseus. You need a little more Homer.

Yeah, I bet. But with this, it's pretty nice to assume that the prices will usually rise in the long run when a plot comes out, if anything the longer the plot the higher the price will be after it ends. Just look at the price of codestones. They were all 3k (except Lu, which was given out as an Advent Calender prize and was like 1.5k) a while ago, then we have a couple wars and a hint of another and most of the codestones are back over 4000, with Main and Eo being at 5k, and Bri being around 3k.

Something I don't understand about NeoSchools is this: Don't most people come to Neopets to try and escape homework? Also, Intelligence does very little as far as any Battledome or random events (at least as far as I know), and is pretty much just another way for us to spend our hard earned NP. Even though you can earn a trophy from reading so many books it is rediculus anymore to even try. :(

Actually there are a few nifty battledome weapons that require X amount of intelligence to use.

As an aside, I think codestone inflation in non-wartime is as much due to inflation overall as it is to war-related inflation. Lu codestones being 1.5K was a LONG time ago (I think before I started playing, and I started playing several years ago) and overall prices have risen a lot since then. If anything I think codestones have been LESS affected by inflation than a lot of other items have been.

I'm thinking they might have something to do with a new plot.

It would be nice if they added some skill/stats to your pet to help round out their charaters. I swear sometimes the site should be called neoitems or neoavatars instead of neopets.

Be nice to have another area you can expand your pet's abilities and personality into. Right now, the main areas you can have your pet excell in is your paint job and/or petpet, or your three battledome stats (STR, HP, DEF), pet trophies (BC or pet/petpet spotlight), how many books read, jobs completed, or gourmet foods eaten.

One of the big draws on MMO games is crafting skills, which would be interesting to see on neopets, if they could keep up with it. This would be a nice starting point for something like that. If you could train your pet to a point where they could craft the ocassional R99 shop item it would be a boon to those of us who can't or won't restock due to slow connections and having to compete with cheaters. That would be really cool, in fact.
