Unpaired scores carry over whether pieces are awarded or not. However, sometimes unpaired scores are matched up while the game is down for those three minutes, so the next hour you have none left. You can look at the previous hour's competition and see if this is what happened (they'll show up there). And occasonally there will be a glitch and pending scores will just disappear for some reason.

So if you submit enough scores, you can technically win more than one piece despite having only entered once?

I don't think so Shan, I think you can only win 3 lousy pieces a day no matter what.

This topic has got to 11 Pages, and I know a mod will soon come and close and open it up again - and look at this, honestly, just look at this, 11 Pages of all of us saying the same and being very unanamus about this, and they STILL haven't done ANYTHING to fix this for us.

They're more concerned about 'Weekened News' and stupid Pet Titled foods and toys then they are about they're players happiness :( - I remember when they acutallly used to talk to us and listen to what we have to say, and now for our devote attention to them, this is the crappy respect we get :x  :x

No, what I think he's saying (correct me if I'm wrong, Clark) is say you enter a WC and it's your only one that day. You don't enter the next hour, but a score or two from the previous hour carries over. Can you in theory win the next hour, too, without having officially entered for that hour?

Betty, I have submitted 2 scores, had one not count for the hour I played, that score was carried over and a few hours later I got a neomail saying I placed and got a piece. So, technically, yes you can win a piece for an hour you haven't entered.

Slime Lord, I know! There have been TNT staff that have posted here on the forum from time to time, so hopefully some of them are lurking and reading. And hopefully, they will, after reading all of this, put the WC back the way it was and give us gamers back something that, while it was truly a challenge (at least for me), was also enjoyable and gave us a sense of accomplishment (getting those pieces/completing maps) instead of frustration and turning away completely from the WC. And the horrid inflation of the pieces out there and the maps. The price of a full map now compared to the prizes you can get is really getting out of hand.

Oh they've read it, I'm 100% entirely sure, 11 Pages going on 12 of basically the same outbursts from every poster, it should most certainly send a red light.

Plus, has anyone noticed they made no mention of this in the news? I keep checking every day hoping they've made mention or mentioning their fixing this horrid problem, but no, no mention of anything, more lousy Gelert Day Strawberry Cakes and crap'ola

Full map prices are absolutely ridiculous right now, I agree. Single pieces of Tyrannia III seem to range from 30-50k on the wiz, and full maps are around 1 mil on the TP. Very few of the prizes given out are worth that much (that fire pb I got was worth half that). I suppose it's good for full map sellers, but I wonder if they're even actually getting that much NP for them -- it seems like they'd be kind of hard to sell. I'll be finished with another one in a couple days (if my piece trades go through), so I'll see, I guess.

I'm only just getting started on these - but I am finding it irritating. The only game I have even half a chance of winning a piece with is only on the list every few days. I'd like to go through and complete each map on my own, but I'll be lucky if I manage to get all 3 Terror Mountain maps before Christmas. I did just sell a duplicate piece for 12K though (3K lower than the rest) but I'd never want to buy any pieces.

I know Jhas. It's just not worth to buy the pieces you need with their "into inventory" method they have going on, and this three piece ontop of it just doesn't help :x

I have to say that after a while of doing it this way, there's no way I believe the "random" distribution is actually random. I'm one of three people on the TP looking to trade for the exact same map piece, and that's just a single WC map. I also notice the same pieces over and over again when I look at the "prizes" part of people's WC high scores.

Me in a dress - that's a once in a lifetime opportunity

Randomness and random numbers have traditionally been used for a variety of purposes, for example games such as dice games. With the advent of computers, people recognized the need for a means of introducing randomness into a computer program. Surprising as it may seem, however, it is difficult to get a computer to do something by chance. A computer running a program follows its instructions blindly and is therefore completely predictable.

Computer engineers chose to introduce randomness into computers in the form of pseudo-random number generators. As the name suggests, pseudo-random numbers are not truly random. Rather, they are computed from a mathematical formula or simply taken from a precalculated list. A lot of research has gone into pseudo-random number theory and modern algorithms for generating them are so good that the numbers look exactly like they were really random. Pseudo-random numbers have the characteristic that they are predictable, meaning they can be predicted if you know where in the sequence the first number is taken from. For some purposes, predictability is a good characteristic, for others it is not.

well... the point is, the function "random" in any programming language, is a pseudo random number generators, they're seem to be random at first, but at large number, you can see there's a repetition...

anyway I hate when :

1. I got the highest score or highest cummulative score, but the game didn't give prize to either... (please don't say that I don't know how it's supposed to work)
2. The system server is down or whatsoever, TNT please make a resend feature when the score can't get sent, this is painful for those trying to get games avatar, high score or wc.

anyway new feature ??

you can check how random the pieces got distributed :P

Does anyone know what happens when you have two winning scores for two different worlds when you've alreayd collected 2 pieces? there are some hours when i get 2 pieces in one hour, but i haven't risked trying to do it when it would take me over the 3 piece/day limit. if they only gave you one, how would they choose which one?

the only thing i like about the new 3 a day limit is that if it wasn't in effect, i would spend all day playing WC and never study =p

oh-em-gee, i have a wikipedia page!!!!

You will get only 1 piece in that hour. One of the competitions will give you the winning a WC piece message ... while the second competition will give you the you've already gotten 3 pieces that day message.

Before they fixed it, you could get the multiple pieces that way. That was one of the first "holes" they plugged up.

I am not 100% sure of how they decide which one give the piece ... possible ideas are "game number" order ... or "registration order' ... or just random luck. :)

I don't think they should even have a random number generator. They should have a sequence for the pieces given out, starting at #1, then 2, then 3, and so on, until 20 pieces have been given out, then start back at 1. Think of it as a sort of waiting list for the pieces. That way, they would ensure that the same number of each piece is given out, and it would produce the same effect. It would still be virtually impossible to predict which piece you would get.

It looks you have collected all the pieces for the picture(s) in the world that this game is set in or have not converted the completed picture yet, so no piece has been awarded.

:x :x :x :x :x :x
I don't know that could happen...

not even jackpot (np winning), not even winning count... just a trashed effort :x
