Don't forget that you can play beyond your 3 map pieces or score sends just to up your completely pointless win total and/or keep other people from getting their 3 map pieces. Whee.

PPTrs were saying they were getting blocked from starting the game in a WC if they alreay had 3 prizes that day.
eh, "prizes 6" must be another TNT script error. Gosh, this list was for Sutek's Tomb, you don't get a win there unless you play for the full hour. Playing that 3 extra times a day and not even getting any points... whew. That's a lot of time to waste. Not to mention the headache after 6 hours of watching little icons move across the page. I'd keep the haunting music on all the time so I would have Sutek Adventure dreams all night long!

I finally got over my anger at what they've done to the WC and was going to play a game to try to earn a piece...haven't played in a month or more. I didn't realize how bad the situation was with the rotating games until tonight. I thought that they only took out like 3 or 4 games and those were being rotated. Boy was I wrong. At the Space Station, there are only three games to play...before these changes, there were 9. The chances of me seeing my game (yes, it is actually a popular one, I thought...Typing Terror) are pretty slim as I'm not on Neopets for very long.

I finally got to the point where I send a pretty nasty e-mail to TNT about the changes just because they need to know how their players feel about these changes and how truly awful they are. I've also decided to join Slime Lord and I refuse to participate in the WC until things are changed. Just so unbelievably frustrating.

I have 6 wins but I had 3 scores from the last time they had the game that were not processed from the midnight game. When they brought the game back for this month I already had wins and hadent even started playing for the day yet.

I, too, refuse to be a part of the WC until the things get put back the way they were... but not just because I HATE the changes, but because I CANNOT win a single piece! I'm only good enough at 2 or 3 games. Before all the changes, I basically got 2 or 3 pieces a week, because the games I played (Typing Terror, mostly) had at least 10 people each time! Now, the game's not there most of the time... and when it is, there's around 30 people playing! How fair is that?

I believe TNT is like Mac Computers... they hate gamers.

Same thing over and over. They'll never bring the unpopular games back in full because that will happen 30 times over.

Maybe they should just drop the prizes to be garbage and open up all the games.

But this isn't an issue because scores carry over to the next hour. If players knew that (maybe TNT could put a line on the instructions page about it) they wouldn't complain about not having sufficient players, because that would only be a problem for one hour.

Unpopularity was never a problem. Look at (again) escape to kreludor - it's got six, seven players every time. I'm not sure how TNT is judging games to be "unpopular" but it's certainly not by WC scores sent.

Anyway, I still think the piece limit is a good idea, but the implementation is awful. No reason they can't just make the limit three pieces per world per day, or three pieces per game. That way you don't have certain players who are especially good at one game or another monopolizing the WC for that game, but you also give people the chance to fill out WC maps quickly.

No... if you had 3 scores, they would all be processed in one hour, giving you at most one prize.

Wow, it's worse than I thought. They've completely ruined my chances. There aren't many games I'm good at, so my chances of winning map pieces are about zilch now.

Only if those scores were paired up against someone else. If you send four scores, but only one is paired up against another opponent, then you have three unpaired scores. Those scores are then saved within the WC database until a chance to pair them up arises, at which point they are paired.

If there are not enough new scores to pair your 3 scores with, then there are not enough people entered for the hour for anyone to win prizes, so the scores are held over again.

::You have 3 scores that have not been paired. No one else has an un-paired score, otherwise you would be paired with them. As soon as someone enters a score, one of your scores is paired, leaving you with 2 unpaired scores. If the hour is over, only 2 people have entered (you + the score your were paired with), so no prizes are given, and everything is carried over to the next hour. 3 more people must enter before prizes can be given, and you only have 2 unpaired scores. You will be out of unpaired scores before enough people have entered the challange for a prize to be awarded.

Your unpaired scores are only paired up if you've paid for the next hour. If you don't pay, then that's when your scores are held over until you enter next.

That's not true. You only need to pay if you want to play more -- your scores carry over and get matched regardless.



Uh... what? You're assuming only two players will enter in the second hour? Maybe three people will enter in the next hour, or four. Your two remaining scores will be paired against the first couple sent, and then all the other people will be paired against each other. It's not necessary for you to send one score for each new player!

And if for some reason your scenario happens exactly as you say and only two players enter -- so there are four total -- no prizes will be awarded and scores will carry over into a third hour, at which time someone new will definitely enter, and since the game is apparently incredibly unpopular and slow, I'd be shocked if you didn't get a piece for those three scores you sent earlier. I don't see the problem.

Has that been a new change? I played Whack-a-Kass a few weeks ago and didn't get my unpaired scores matched up until I paid again.
