What pets can't be adopted to under 4 month accounts? Can chia pop'ed pets be transfered?

WARNING!!! Pets that are above level 2, are limited-edition species, or that have been painted with certain rare or expensive paintbrushes, CANNOT be adopted by any account younger than four months. So be careful when abandoning a pet, if you're planning on trying to re-adopt it!

Chia popped pets would come under that banner as well.

Are you sure? I mean, what's considered 'rare'? And it doesn't say 'chia pop' anywhere, just paint brush.

A chia pop colour is most like ly included in that "rare" category. and it's still unsafe, since there are old people out to get rare pets as well

The following colors CAN be adopted by an account younger than 4 months.

Checkered
Blue
Brown
Glowing
Green
Invisible
Orange
Pink
Purple
Red
Shadow
Silver
Skunk
Speckled
Split
White
Yellow

All other colors are restricted, including chia pop colors.

If you're in doubt about whether or not you can adopt a particular pet, use the quick adopt link (http://www.neopets.com/process_adopt.ph ... e=PETSNAME). As long as you have less than four pets, it will tell you if your account isn't old enough to adopt that pet.

Great trick, Erin. I wouldn't have thought of it. I'll use it next time the appropriate situation arises.

I use two browsers (Mozilla and IE), have them opened side-by-side, and use the slower of the two to abandon the pet and the faster to adopt the pet via the autoadopt link. It's still not a guaruntee, but it's the fastest way I know of to transfer a pet.

Yes, that's exactly how I do it too. :)

And you're welcome, Mindy. :D
