So once you get your 3 pieces for the day, you can have fun taking winning spots to prevent others from getting theirs:P Great.

It's like they're sitting around a table in a conference room going "okay, now how can we make World Challenges worse?"

TNT, if you want people to compete in the WCs, change the piece-awarding so they go directly into our picture again, and bring back the "unpopular" games (most of which were really not that unpopular)! Don't try to entice more players in by allowing them to play as many times as they want for points on your scoreboards, because seriously, THE SCOREBOARDS ARE USELESS. I know I'm not going to pay 100np an hour to play a game for no NP reward, no picture pieces... just some stupid point on a scoreboard that doesn't give out trophies or even count in my scores list. Lame.

Well, tally winners still get their jackpot share, just no picture piece. Still, I can think of much faster ways to get the same NPs in an hour than submitting WC scores:P

Okay. Well, I think the "jackpot" you get for winning a Volcano Run WC is usually around 200-550 NPs, even if you come in first, so take away the 100 NP entry fee and I'd be making 100-450 NPs an hour. Look out restockers, I'M GETTIN' RICH!

Even Faerie Bubbles or Destruct-O-Match, two of the very popular games, will usually only net you around 2000 NPs (at most) if you win first place in a competition. Right now, for example, there are 34 people in the Destructo WC and the top guy's only going to get 2050 NP -- and he's had to spend time playing five good games for that. It's just not worth it.

EDIT: A nice fellow Volcano Run player just traded me the last piece I needed to finish my Tyrannia series 3 picture. I decided to convert (no one else has yet, as far as I know). I got 2000 NP (of course) and a Fire, Fire, Your Pants On Fire Paint Brush (worth about 500-550k). It's not a terrible prize, but it's not awesome, either.

Wow! That prize just seems SOO much different Cranberry!

I don't know what to say about this anymore, not so much angry with them, but I'm just so disapointed with Adam, Donna, and everyone else who have stated things before (Ie: Never have advertisements on our site), promised their users things, etc. Frail, they prefer coming up with stupid little pet days to bring out more stupid little items and freaking little overpriced crap, then getting rid of Autobuyers on this site!!!

But I am very happy you managed to complete you WCS3 map Cranberry, but I'm very disapointed in the prize it gave out to you. You would have hoped it would have been a very rare items considered 1) It's the 3rd level in prizes, 2) It's hellish hard to get now thanks to 'random' and 3) people are hoarding things. I still dont' see how this shaer about "cornering pieces" and shaer doesn't prevent hoarding!!! Look how hard you and everyone else who either does it as income, or as fun, now has it! :x

I'm not angry for my self, but I'm angry and disapointed for everyone else who plays the game fairly. Cranberry, me, Rune, etc.etc.etc. - we who play fairly are just being screwed over.

Considering the two petpet pbs I got for converting nc1&2, I'd probably be pretty happy to get a fire PB...but still, I guess they could go with something a little more rare.

You "guess"? :( - Naw, see, they need to after screwing this up like they have, making it as difficult as it is now to earn these bloody pieces, the prizes should be "OMG YOU HAVE THAT?!" from everyone.

My feelings are mixed:P Depending how often my games come up in rotation, it'll take me weeks to finish NC3 if I manage at all. From a selfish viewpoint, if I can finish the map I want it to be well worth the time of course:)

One thing I was thinking, if they're worried about coordinated efforts to win pieces, maybe they could just hide the WC status until conditions were met to produce a winner. That is, don't show how many players are entered, what the scores are, anything. And to prevent people trying to match their scores for tally, then keep all the scores till the end of the challenge and randomly match them at that time. I personally wouldn't mind entering a blind WC.

It's just incredible.

End of the hour and the 3 games don't have enough players.

http://www.neopets.com/challenges/world ... world_id=3

Carnival of Terror Challenge
Players: 3

Whack-A-Ghost Challenge
Players: 4

MAGAX: Destroyer Challenge
Players: 4

Want an easy piece? Get a good score in one of those games.

But people don't.

And 30+ people play Meerca Chase and Destructo every hour.

I think they just need better flash games to make the WC more popular.

I still can't get over this it is really grating on my nerves and I need to vent. Since they have changed it to only 3 peices a day I have been luckey to even get 1 peice a day. Not to mentions Why only rotate a few games instead of giving everyone a fair chance and rotating all the games. Or better yet I really like this idea better DO NOT ROTATE GAMES... By keeping in the same games and rotating a few they are letting the same people get all the peices and win ALL the time in those games. Blaaa....

I think this is an absolutely rediculous change. People have already stated their cases eloquently, (Hoarding, inflation, ect.) but I'd like to add something to the mix. Certain worlds have more games than others. As far as I know, Kreludor has never had more than 3 games available anyway. However, Neopia Central is flooded with games. Therefore, if you're good at a Kreludan game, you'll probably always be able to play it. However, if your game is in Neopia Central, you can pretty much kiss 'good-bye' to getting map pieces on a consistant basis. (Unless your game happens to be a 'popular' game.) Now, this is extremely unfair to anyone who's good at a game that TNT deems 'unpopular'. Not everyone is good at Meerca Chase, and even those who are have way too much competition. So while people may be flooding Meerca Chase and DoMII, games like Raiders of Maraqua and Deckswabber are next to empty. If the cheaters want, they can just go ahead and flood those games, since there's no real competition anyhow. The new system really seems to only stop the people playing fairly, and will probably do nothing to stop cheaters, who will always try find a way to circumvent the system.

Nods and agrees with amarise and everyone else. OK, fine, we can only collect 3 pieces per day. But otherwise, having to click a different link just to enter a WC or even check to see how you're doing in a particular hour, not having all the games available and for me at least, only being able to enter one or two games that I can actually get a decent score on is just driving me mad.

That and the random piece showing up in inventory. I'm tired of somehow managing to get my 3 pieces for a day and having them all be the same piece! Trying to trade them for ones I need has become next to impossible and I'm not going near shops ATM - that is if I wanted to spend way too much for a piece I need.

It's even worse for me now because I converted my series three (note: _knight_general_ now has a page listing WC III prizes; it's here), and now I have to start all over at series one. Everyone else seems to still be on two or three, so I'm having a hard time trading doubles away. I really hate this. I could live with the three pieces per day if only they went directly into our picture, so we couldn't get doubles. Out of all the dumb changes they made, the inventory thing is still the worst. I don't know why they won't change it.

Just want to know how often does the games rotate? 'Cause I've been waiting for 3 days for Defender Trainer to get back into circulation! :x Currently running low on maps to exchange.

It's Random circulation Ira. Meaning that you could have Defender Trainer running for 4 Days and then it's gone for a 7 Day period.

I support Cranberry on this, the three pieces of a day limit would be good. But they need to get rid of this damnable thing that people send scores or whatever it is and then they've wasted their three limit a day thing. I would love to have the knowledge that my pieces are going directly into my pictures, rather then going into my inventory.

I refuse to play WC Games untill this is freaking resolved.
