Being chained to the ground. Even in a thunderstorm, there is a VERY small chance lightning will hit the tree. Even then, there's no guarantee you would die. In the flood, you have a 100% chance of dying.

Which is worse: Having to pay 50% taxes, or losing sleep knowing that by not paying high taxes, one more person might have to *sniff* do work?

Second one since there aren't enough people doing that already (damn GWB and his upper class tax cuts).
