Actually I have seen a couple of players who did all steps (nothing grayed out) who did receive 179,300 points so I believe that the fake stuff didn't count. I think the difference in those who received 160k+ to above was basically speed. Those who scored 179,300 (like me) were basically average. We slogged our way through it, worked hard but weren't particularly creative or fast. We started early though.

Those who scored just under 150k did the steps but started late, really late so didn't quite earn enough for the ROTL while people who scores 179,300 didn't have quite enough for ROTL and a book.

I ended with 134300 after starting on time and completing all but the two fake steps. I was missing though for the sand and blocks:( Did move a bunch of furniture, but looks like that doesn't matter.

Hummph, sorry guys but none of this talk about no points for the fakes makes me feel any happier. That means I only lost points through not completing the "Understood library scroll" phase, which I definately completed and got the "your pet understands" message, and the final visit to the temple looking for the "mysterious message" room which took 35 visits and nearly 2 days to find what seems to have been a random room. These hardly seem fair reasons to loose points :x Personally I'd be much happier loosing points for the fakes, which I missed, than for things over which I seem to have no control.

I ended up with 179,300. I have to admit that I owe it to you guys in this fantastic forum.
After much thought, I went for the Ring of the Lost. I waited a bit to see if TNT would give some kind of rewards or extra points for the battling. No mentions of it from TNT seemed bizarre to me. Indeed one of my player got 101,000 battledome points at the time for beating Razul but still battling the other opponents was part of our Plot involvement and should have been rewarded at least with redeeming points or a cool trophy for the lookup.

And yes, ROTL does make a difference in the Battledome except I haven't beaten yet the Meerca Henchmen. They were down to 15 pts when they froze my pet Catamano.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, xxxholic, Full Metal Alchemist, Fruit Baskets, Ergo Proxy, now what is next ? hints wanted from knowledgeable anime fan.

I don't think the "understook the scroll" step was worth any points. I have it listed as 'not done', but I'm pretty sure I did it. I think TNT knew they could not figure it out quite right, so they didnt score anything for it.

I finished the plot except for the 2 fakes at the end and understanding the scroll. i received 134,300 pts. but yet like others I know for a fact that my pet did understand the scroll. im happy with my score being that this is my first plot, i even started late in the plot. and would like to share my feelings of thankfullness to everyone out there in ppt land for all the great info and your help!

I wonder how there could be "no" points for that part, else why would they list it in the scoring breakdown? That was, according to TNT, the one step I did not complete also, and now I am starting to wonder if they only way they could tell if "we" (as in the person, not the pet) understood to follow the clues to read the correct one is if that was the first (or only?) scroll read?

Still that seems a bit unfair, as at first I remember a lot of people in the Tombs not fully understanding what the libraries themselves were all about so they just read any scroll out of sheer curiosity (and also hoping to get clues on what to do next). This was more about knowing what "not" to do (first) than eventually getting the correct scroll read, I think?

Also people who started on time but ended up finishing part(s) of it later, as that's what happened to me. :)

Yup I started with everyone else :)

For some reason I just didn't feel like beating Razul when he first came out. :S

I lost my maps so I couldn't find my weapon for about a week. And I had exams right when all the scroll reading parts were around. So I was kinda behind for a bit :P

Hmm... I'm looking for advice.
I have 149,300 points to spend. I'm not a serious battler.

I'm thinking of buying 2 Lost Desert Paintbrushes and spending the rest on Tep key rings. Is this wise? (My goal is to trade for a plushie paintbrush and a Mutant Hissi Trans potion.)

As for the minor prizes, I hear the key rings are raking in quite a profit. Can anyone vouch for this, or another item?

I'm thinking that the paint brushes are the only thing that aren't unique to the plot - there are other ways to get them. If you are going for resale profit, maybe try books. They are unique, when pets will read them and they disappear and get rarer.

small prizes: key rings started selling around 10-12K and have been at 3-4K for the last few days.

Just my thoughts - who knows what will really happen???

Well, it seems like you can turn in your points at any time. So you could also consider waiting and turning them in when you see what will make a profit in the long run. (That's what I'm doing with the few points left over after I bought my RotL.)

I'd tend to vote for books. Speaking as someone who's trying to by one right now (I figure I must have one, even though they're insanely expensive) Anubis Tox Reports are already selling for more tha LDPs and will only go higher as people use them (although I assume that once they get really expensvie they'll also get REALLY hard to sell.)

I'm still on the fence as to what to spend my remaining points on. I have 38,300 points (the last 300 will probably be wasted - I don't want anymore sand!).

I've already bought the inexpensive toys from user shops, just one of each.

I could get 1 book at 30k, but not sure which one to get. Or I could get a spike pit, those don't seem to be too popular going by the high buyable prices, or 2 scroll racks and whatever's left over from any of the above a bunch of key rings (nem).

bgryph, the books I would love to have one of each, and I agree will probably end up going up, but I also agree that they will end up being hts. Very expensive books and plushies tend to appeal to a very small group of collectors. Otherwise, they just sit.

I wish they'd added in all the furniture moving that so many of us did. I know I moved ALOT of furniture over that long, seemingly endless weekend.

Yeah. If you're planning on selling it immediately you'll definately do better with Anubis Tox Reports as lots of people (like me) who didn't get it through the plot are buying them. (Presumably this is because almost no one had enough to get that AND a RotL...)

Later, dunno. Depends on how you feel about HTSs. :-)

I feel silly laying out that kind of NP for somthing that will just sit in my gallery, but I REALLY really want one.
