HOWEVER

if one constantly recasts/throws more potions, than the time it lasts is reset. Combine this with the fact that most battles end before things like focus, and higher level spells can wear off, than the chances that those darn Bionic bunnies will not be focused during a battle, is pretty near nill. Monsters have a bad habit of constantly recasting spells, its just what they do. --'

So, in summary: Yes, focus/damage/speed/slow spells/potions can, and will, wear off, if given enough time, and if the spells are not recasted.

that's what I thought, thanks.

I hate enemies that focus. I always try and take them out quickly. That, or I attack the other 1-3 enemies with Rohane and Talinia, and then attack the focused enemy with Mipsy's DD. Generally seems to work pretty well.

In other news, I completed Normal yesterday. I'm wondering when I should start on Evil :P

If anyone is near the Miner Foreman, Zombom, Kolvars, Gebarn II, or the Faeries; could you please get me a screenshot of them before you start the fight with them, it would be very much appreciated.

If you have no idea what i'm talking about, here are some examples of what I'm looking for:

Just thought people might find this interesting... Bionic Bunny was a superhero in the children's TV show "Arthur."

Anyway, what is the lowest level I should try to beat Scuzzy on in Evil mode?

i usually try to mesmerise them, and then just take them out at the end. I dont mind them, they do a lot less damage

After dying in insane in the Lost Desert, I was too devastated to try again so after pretending neoquest didn't exist for a couple weeks, I restarted on evil. I'm so much happier now, I actually want to play again. Already halfway through Terror Mountain, and hoping for a better prize this time (HoD first time around)!

Aww...your pirze wasn't that bad. I got the tooth during my first play.

I think I'll start again. It's been awhile since I played, and I'm near the end of an evil run, if I recall correctly. *cracks knuckles*

Muahahahaha...I got a Ramtor's Spellbook on my first play through. That's part of why I'm playing again--I'm hoping for a repeat(and if I do get one, I'll sell it cheap to someone from here 0:) ). If I don't, the joy of having played again is plenty for me.

Oh I was pretty happy at the time that it wasn't the tooth, and back then I believe there was a looming war, so I sold it for about 400-450k if I remember correctly. It's worth a lot less now though, hence why I hope I don't get it again. If I did, I'd probably use it myself and wait for a war.

Bah, IDNQ is down and I haven't bookmarked any other site. Time to go hunting for some place that has maps...

This place isn't bad: http://www.geocities.com/neoquest_2/

This might be a silly question, but how is evil difficulty different than normal? I just started playing to upgrage my trophy and it doesn't seem too too different...

Well, I started a while back, and still on Chapter 1. I'm finding it a lot harder to level up and get better weapons at the moment. Less healing potions are dropped, so you can't rely on them as much.

Fri Feb 03, 2006 2:40 pm

Goody, leveling up is my favorite part of the game too. I guess it's worth a shot at getting a free RSB. :)

Fri Feb 03, 2006 3:41 pm

I didn't really find Evil to be all that much harder. The less healing potion drops were weighed up by the weapon and armour drops which meant I could sell off the old weapon and armour pretty frequently and buy whatever potions I needed. The only thing I really had to change in playing style was being extra careful not to die, as you get bumped back to the beginning of the chapter rather than the last inn you were at, and training a bit extra before Zombom and before the beginning of chapter 3/Silicast.

I'm at the end of the Lost Desert right now, and I'm such an idiot that I left Coltzans Ghost without picking up the medallion piece and went all the way to the smiley rock before I realised. Had to trek back, pick up the piece and return again - and I was already overtrained and running around in normal mode! Gah, I'm so dumb. :(
