I just read that someone had died of bird flu in Iraq. I was thinking that if it made it to the US a lot of chickens would be put to death as well as other domestic animals. What would happen if they ordered someone to kill their own pet bird? In Iraq it just said all domesticated birds in the area are going to be killed. And I wonder if someone has a pet parrot or another kind of bird and if they are going to have to kill a pet bird too? And also they said they'd like to kill migratory birds flying into the area but there is no way to kill all of them. Anyway, I wonder if they would kill a rare bird just to stop this. I mean, say someone spotted a rare bird, it showed no sign of being sick but they weren't really sure. I mean, it seems like they'd still kill it if they had to.
And it if made it to the US I wonder if people would be out shooting Eagles too? Well anyway, I realise that most people aren't going to have close contact with an Eagle. Mostly it would be chicken and turkey and other kinds of food birds. But I still wonder if you had pets if they would have to die too.
