Wow, you two are great.. this is such an awesome group of people... Thank you ever so...

I went out on the trades, seems people are all over the map on prices. people are selling the royal wedding ring for 800k. On person had already bought 6 or 6 of them. Yet others wanted to trade for 4.8 mill Drak trans mog potion.

On the other hand, Ring of the Lost looks like no one is selling for less than 3 mil. if these prices keep up..

What do folks think is the Ring of the lost really worth that much more than the Royal Wedding Ring?

Ring of the lost has good icons, but sink will kill it. Though only for a turn, unless...eh...I won't get into that. Anyways, RotL is the better on the the two.

Wedding ring is a straigth out attacker, you can get better weapons then that.
If you don't choose RotL, go for books, and since most peopel buying that ring are battlers, RotL has MUCH better resell value. Wedding ring's perk is the look of it.
Truthfully, if RotL wasn't so good, I'd be bending over backwards for wedding ring. I need that ring for my battle set nonetheless, but I can do without it.

In a few months, RotL will be worth the price, over Wedding ring. Plus more people got wedding ring then Lost ring. More common= harder to increase in value over time.

Rarity. Not everyone can afford the ring of the lost, so there are more wedding rings. There's probably quite a few nonbattlers buying the wedding ring, even though they can afford the other, just because it's prettier and played a larger role in the plot. Plus, there aren't too many weapons in that price range that attack and defend. I think I'll get the ring of the lost and work on buying the wedding ring myself.

You really think the books will bring in millions?

I'll be real honest.. I plan to buy a key ring and the useful crystal for my gallery... the rest are just purchases to bring in the most NP on resale.

shoot. . . I love the look of the wedding ring. . . but i'm a battler and I should get the better of the two weapons.

What is interesting is, people with the wand of reality and bow of destiny (NQII prizes) are asking for the ring. Is ROtL really better than these?

Well, books are going for around 300k each now, with anubis toxicology reports going for around 600k. At least that's how much people are asking. The ring is only better than those to if you think you can use the defense over the extra 3 icons damage. Don't forget that there's still lots of people who haven't finished NQ2 and can still earn those weapons. The rings are already retired. I went ahead and bought a ring of the lost. I just couldn't wait any longer, but I think I can hold out on choosing the book.

Maybe.

Activate my mace of righteous flame already please!

You're right. I'll go ahead and buy the Ring of the Lost and stop thinking too much into it. There's a reason why it's the most expensive prize.

books=one use=quickly decreasing availability.

Ring is a threat in 2-player battler, if your a mid- high battler, aka you see SoS a LOT, then ring is kind a must. Past that, it's your choice.

Books aren't THAT good in a huge long term sale, since many have their limits with buying books, but weapons are always good for selling. You might be waiting awhile with book while ring might be faster to sell off.

Well, from all I am hearing, I'm going to get the ring. I'm in no hurry to cash it in. It is now retired. It has real value in the battledome, that is beyond simple "collecting" of books.

Btw, I must say, the Ring of the lost looks are much more striking than the Wedding ring which is just a bit to buzy for my tastes.

God, do I sound girly.. i bet some of you wonder if I deserve to have such an awesome weopon.

Umm...yes...ring of the lost really really is lots better than the wedding ring. Wedding ring is OK, should average 10 icons but long term will be worth more than, say, Scuzzys Comb or Ramtors spellbook due to rarity. And given most plot/war prizes it is definitely decent.

ROTL, though, really has the potential to affect many things in the battledome and is worth much more than wedding ring. The blocking all dark is really a huge thing particularly pairing it with a 9.5 icon attack, and especially a half fire attack.

ROTL affect BD on several levels. It simultaneously makes the SOS less valuable, makes the PCC a more dominant wanted weapon (whose price is now held down the HT, make the GShield less valuable (although I have both ROTL and GShield and still like the GShield better for long term use). GShield potentially becomes less valuable due to 2 factors: ROTL is also a full dark blocker but with attack and GShield becomes less valuable the fewer SOS that are being used. Of course, that is true for the ROTL as well. It becomes less valuable if dark isn't being used in the BD....

Still, for now I'm hanging on to ROTL hoping it isn't downgraded.

Hehehe, whenever I see the acronym "ROTL" I always think of either "ROFL" or a typoed acronym, "LOTR"

Well, I finally decided how to spend my plot points. I went for the Ring of the Lost. I can use it in the battledome and if I ever decide to not use the battledome anymore, I can probably sell it for a pretty good price. Other than that, I got 2 Nabile Plushies (figured I can sell one eventually maybe), a Gelatinous Non-Cube Plushie, a Useful Crystal, Spike Pit Play Set, Nuria Statue Bobblehead, E-Z See Crystal Ball, and an Ahn Key Ring. I still have a couple thousand points left, so if there is anyone here that would like an Ahn Key Ring and would like to trade something, PM me!

It's enlightening, listening to you battlers talk. :D

Unfortunately, I already bought one paint brush and traded it for a halloween pb, so I can't get the RotL. The RWR would take up the last of my points, pretty much... Wish I'd gotten the Big One now, and just bought the pb's.

Hindsight's 20/20.
