Bah.

The pieces of the pie that were opposite of each other were related to each other by the equation: 3*x + 1 = y (where x and y were the numbers in the opposite pieces of pie).

There are 2 "correct" answers ... but they seem to have only accepted 1 of them.

I guess the answer they decided to accept was 757, although, I believe 83 2/3 should have also been correct.

You can get 757 by taking x = 252 ... you can get 83 2/3 by taking y = 252.

Both answers are equally wrong, in my opinion. The argument against 83 2/3 was that there are no other fractions in the puzzle. My argument against 757, is that for all the numbers around the ? ... it is that number that is the smaller of the two numbers. So to make the puzzle symmetric, the answer needs to be 83 2/3.

I'm dissappointed (once again) at the answer they chose to accept. BAH.

That answer is WRONG. TNT should be shot. And then their cropses should be shot. And then the dead corpses should be tosses out the nearest airlock. :x . :P

If you answered the lesser number, all of the lesser numbers would be on one half of the circle... DUH. Yet TNT went with the illogical way of doing things.

*lets off excess steam*

yeah, the new ones a little bizzar. Hopefully the answer will be unique :P

Since no one posted it yet I might as well:

A young Shoyru had lost her petpet Pawkeet. She looked everywhere but couldn't find it. Finally, with nowhere else to turn, she asked Jhudora if she could help her. (Illusen was busy washing her hair, I guess)

"Why, of course I can help you," Jhudora began, "but I won't make it easy for you. Look at this puzzle:"
Image
"I an not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing," the Shoyru complained. "Maybe I should just go find Hubrid Nox or something."

Jhudora grinned. "It's very easy. The name of the place is hidden in that grid. Or, at least it was. One of the rows got all messed up. Or maybe it was one of the columns. I don't remember. It's been a long day, and I've been giving out way too many poisonous lollypops."

Do you think you can use the same letters twice? If so, I have the answer.

Grr, I answered the last LC with the more logical answer too. And for this one....I can't find it. I just guessed one of the 5 or 6 places that can be found using the letters.

I would *guess* you can't use the same letter twice (like boggle rules) ... but I have no idea. Cryptic, it seems.

These words puzzles are never good for me.

Edit: It seems I can get something if I don't use boggle rules and just shove a column (or row) up or down (left to right) a couple of spaces. The place just ends up being listed in the puzzle.

Not sure if it is right ... but it seems to work.

I can't tell if "all messed up" means scrambled, or just pushed to the side(like 12345 became 23451 or something). My brain doesn't like this. And the word "salmon" shows up, so my tounge doesn't like this either.

I'm not sure I would call it a "spelling" error ... more like a WritersEmbellishment.

::slams head against wall::

man, I guessed one out of the three or so places that could have been spelled out right when it came out, hopin for luck and a trophy upgrade. Now I see the right answer and i'm mad at myself for not choosing that. :x

I just made a guess and hoped I got it right. I think I got it in pretty soon after it came out, though.
