Third option, start investing in stocks?

Just a thought.

I don't keep very close track, but I'd say I probably made a million a month last year, almost entirely from stocks (although there were a few good investments related to random theme Wednesdays and some Lab Map, etc. wizard snipes involved as well, as well as a little game playing here and there.)

You can make more from restocking, of course, but I'm not good at it and don't find it fun, so I don't do it.

I make between 75-300k per day restocking - it's not that hard, but it helps that I have a good internet connection and a healthy computer.

Anyway, games and as mentioned World Challenges are a great way to make money. Find a couple of games you're good at, and get yourself a few world challenge pieces. That's always helpful.

Stocks are a good way, but you must be patient. It's not going to do you any good to invest in stocks if you're going to get jittery and sell them for no gain or a loss.

Bank interest is good, too - once you make enough money, your interest alone can be worth a few thousand per day.

Save up some more, and then bankrupt myself by buying the Lab Map I have been looking forward to for months... or keep busy, getting richer and richer, and then, in a few more months, when I (hopefully) have a few mil, spend, say, 500K on the map and not worry about it.

Remember that the lab ray will go up if a war starts (usually to 750K for all) so don't wait and buy it at too much and the price slowly creeps up. The lab ray is a new daily activity and can be very very fun.

I recommend having 150K and buy 1000 LUPE when it is around that price. That's hard for a one day purchase of a stock and it takes a patient person to wait for it to be 500 again. The thing is, if you are that attached to the nP, it would be hard to play stocks, even with the potential of great profits.

I've personally witnessed my friend make over 300k a day by sitting behind her watching her RS. She deposits 15k a day in stocks and eventually forgets about it.

If you can't RS, try wizsniping. There's plenty of screenies going around showing off 30k draik trans and 99k paint brushes. You may not see one for months, but when you do that may be a 300k-2m instant profit!. I heard of someone sniping a grey pb for only 5np because the owner was really new and had gotten it in an RE.

I'm sure if I put my mind to it, I can do all these things too. It just takes some practice. Personally, since I just joined, I'm planning on playing NeoQuest II or some World Challenges for the first month. By then I'll be able to view all the R90+ items in official shops and can actually restock good things instead of only making 80-100k a day.

So, yeah. Stock Market, Wizsniping, Restocking and World Challenge. Never give up, and never say you can't do it. You always have an option.

One easy thing I think helps is that I try to by 1000 shares of low-priced stock every day, and sell them when they reach 65. It's not like the real stock market at all. a neopet stock always goes up and always goes back down and then back up...

(OK, not ALWAYS, but enough so you can count on it)

edit: deleted gibberish.

Just a question.. since everyone is talking about it in here.
What exactly is 're-stocking' and what does in entail? :)

Simply put: Buying in items in shops for way less than you can sell them for on the shopwiz or tradepost.

If you're really insane, you can make a million a day, although that's pretty exhausting... I know my former guild leader put it to the test once and succeeded, but I don't know if he would be able to repeat that, so well, one million in a month is really quite easy compared to that :)

At the moment I'm only making like 5k a day, I'm getting a bit lazy, but there were times when I made about a million a month with a little restocking, lots of playing games and doing lots of quests...

Back when you could multiple pieces from the WC in one hour from one game, (and during summer) I could complete the Neopia central picture in 2 days, selling for 350k per full pic or so. That meant being home for part of at least 10 hours of the day... :battar:

Now I'm lazier and just completing every 2 weeks or so... I also am training a lot. My income is whatever stocks bring me + 3k mootix drop + WC sales (I sell all at once)

I can't restock. I don't know when the places restock their shops. Does anyone know of a restock guide to help with this? I'm always paranoid of buying because I think I might get something worthless.

I earn about 1.5mil a month... but then need to buy more petpets and petpetpets, they're my two positions in my current mall

Mon Jan 23, 2006 4:05 am

I theoretically should be earning about 1.1 million a month. 66000np from interest, 270000 from daily games, and 770k from World challenge maps.

Though it seems that it only has gone at about half that, 2 million over the last 4 months =/

You all impress me to no end. I'm lucky if I can scrape 10k together by the end of the day.

The world challenges sound like something I might try, though. To be honest, I didn't know they existed until I read this thread.

First thankz for the replies again Pinkpt.

Not sure if I am counting this right...

Games - 3
Stocks - 4
World Challenges - 2
Restocking - 5

I didn't know World Challenges was that popular.

I don't recommend this for any new stock market investors...for 150K, you can buy 10,000 shares of other stocks at 15, instead of 1000 LUPE @ 150.

What's the secret for all you stock market people? I mean, other than the "buy low, sell high" strategy. ;)
