Yes you are, if you're on Evil you should be around 30, my whole group was lvl 32 before Scuzzy on Normal so I would train a lot, in able to beat Scuzzy. :)

Hey Pat, where are you and general nonsense going? I guess to the festivities of sophisticos!

I haven't had any weapon drops on random encounters, but every boss has dropped at least one.

Not really a help topic, but I just beat Normal difficulty. Does my item go automatically to my inventory?

Finally almost done with my first game. Well, maybe. Did chapter 3 in one sitting just now, think it's time for a break:P And chapter 4 now too. Random encounters are getting tedious. Think I'll take a nice long break after I finish this game.

And now I've finally won. Talinias Whittling Knife was my prize. Guess it's time to work on silver trophy:P

I dunno, I beat the Leximp at 20 with just Rohane (Mipsy died and I didn't have any res. potions) and I easily beat Kolvars at 21.

now, my turn for questions:

1. Is there any point in upgrading Velm's staff or Mipsy's wand? I mean, Obliterate is going to do 100 damage wether I have a Wand of Reality or a Sawdust Wand. the only point I see is for skill bonuses and I would rather not waste my money on weapons I can do without.

2. What would be the point of doing nothing in a battle. no matter what, you could attack with your melee, so why would you sit there and do nothing?

3. How come physical attacks seem to work better on a cloud of fleas then magic? Personally, i think it would be hard to try to kill a bunch of tiny little fleas with a giant sword or dinky little arrow, no matter how dense the fleas are. wouldn't it be more effective to use Mipsy as a giant bug zapper?

4. where do the monsters keep all these potions and weapons that they leave laying around? and how come they just HAPPEN to fit your party member just perfect?

5. Same thing with bosses, why are they carrying around YOUR Weapons and armour but yet won't give it to you unless you kill them.

6. how come the Merchants that you run into don't carry weapons or armour for other species of neopets and just happen to have swords, wands, bows, staffs, robes, metal armour, chain, and leather armour just lying around, and they just happen to be better then what you already have? (even if they are in the middle of the lost desert and claim to have seen nobody for ages)

7. How exactly do your weapons and armour provide bonuses? i mean, how can holding a certain sword increase (or decrease) how much i stun my opponents, or how wearing certain armour can increase your speed? (if anything, you would think that all that weight would slow you down)

8. How come the NPC's in the game stay in the EXACT same place and say the EXACT same thing almost every time you talked to them? Like in my first game, I started my game, talked to my parents, came back almost a year later and they are still in the exact same place and say the exact same thing they did nearly a year ago. same thing with bosses, they just sit up in their little castles and towers, never moving an inch...

1. Upgrading Velm and Mipsy's weapons are purely for the added bonuses. If you have a nice wand or nice staff, dont change it. And if you were talking about buying a wand or staff, you are correct, there is no point.

2. This is useful when you want velm to heal up your party before you give the finishing blow to someone (or when an enemy is mesmerized and you want only a certain character to do a certain move). Its only useful towards the end of act 4 and act 5

3. I have no idea.

4. No idea either. (ask mr. insane).

5. See #4.

6. see #4.

7. See #4.

8. See #4 again.

a couple more quick questions

9. How exactly do you gain health by walking?

10. Why exactly does a giant dragon want to take over the world? (and what does he want Fyora for?)

11. How come our heros can only go to level sixty? do they not have enough brain power to improve and learn other skills?

12. Where do our heroes put the hundreds of potions that they carry around with them everywhere?

that's the last of them, I swear. (for now at least)

*raises hand* Oh, oh! My turn my turn. :D
I'm looking to start NeoQuest II just for the prizes.

1. What's the best guide you've used/come across?
2. For those who have completed the game, or atleast got past Evil, how much neopoints have you made by selling the prizes?.

If you didn't sell them, how much are they worth? :P
I decided to play NQII until my account is a month old so by then I
can learn to restock and see the R95+ items.

I tried that (playing just for prizes) and I was all excited, i'm like "I can't wait to get my halo of devilpuss or my ramtors spellbook" ends up I got that crappy tooth of terask, the worst evil prize.

I haven't tried insane, and don't ever plan to (i have this thing about silver trophies).

remember that on insane, if all your people die, you start over from the very beginning, not just your last resting place with half your money. the monsters on insane have twice the amount of health and the bosses have 50% more health. you also get less gold and things are more expensive (meaning LOTS of leveling up.)

If you really want to go through with it, then go for it.

as far as insane prizes are concerned:

Bow of Destiny- Price : 2.4M - 4M

Wand of Reality- Price : 2.72M - 3.68M

Sword of Apocolypse- Price : 1.403M - 1.898M

Staff Of Righteous Fury Price : 525K - 875K

Meh!. That seems awful hard. But the prices on those items are so enticing.
Do you think I could beat Insane within a month? Does that seem like a farfetched goal?. o_O

Farfetched, IMO. But that could just be me. You have to play Normal and Evil first if you haven't yet, though.

Guide wise- I don't use a guide anymore, except for one from IDNQ - this one: http://digifort.com/idnq/index.php?page=viewguide&id=47

:)

when the enemy focuses, does it last the whole battle, or just a certain period of time? what about damage shields?

So far as I know, there isn't any magic spell/potion that you can use that will last the entire battle for sure. Everything lasts a specific amount of time.

HOWEVER

if one constantly recasts/throws more potions, than the time it lasts is reset. Combine this with the fact that most battles end before things like focus, and higher level spells can wear off, than the chances that those darn Bionic bunnies will not be focused during a battle, is pretty near nill. Monsters have a bad habit of constantly recasting spells, its just what they do. --'

So, in summary: Yes, focus/damage/speed/slow spells/potions can, and will, wear off, if given enough time, and if the spells are not recasted.
