I've been premium for over a year. A while ago, I, like many other premium members, suddenly lost all the premium benifits on neopets itself, though we still had access to our neomail and the portal, just not linked from the main site. This glitch was fixed pretty quickly, but I never got back access to the petpet lab ray, or my space faerie charm. I sent in 2 bug reports but didn't really mind too much because neither are features that are very important to me.
I open neopets today only to find that there's ads. Okay, so I've been logged out. No, I'm not. I appear to have lost premium...
again. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this something they're doing to fix the petpet ray/lucky charm problems? Is anyone else still lacking access to their ray and missing their charm? Does anyone know what's going on? I sent in a bug report already.
I'd go on the neoboards but a] don't know in which one to look, and b] they skurr meeeee.

Yes Im slowly going insane without it.
Happened to me 3 weeks ago, and now again except this time its even worse, I have no portal at all, ads everywhere, no premium boards, the premium portal bug report URL redirects back to the main site, Space Faerie charm has gone again. UGHH
On the boards someone said it appears to be those who pay with paypal. That cant be right , since I pay with a credit card.
It appears to be the same bunch of us though that were effected 3 weeks ago. 3 days last time it took to come back. and again on the weekend when noone is there to fix it.. grrrrrr

Definitely not the paypal users as my account is fine :S I wonder what the common factor is between the people having trouble seeing as it seems to have hit all you guys again.
I really hope they fix it soon for you, these are after all the very features you are paying for =(

My account is fine, and the Portal works for me and everything. I don't know what the problem could be, but I hope it gets fixed for you soon!

hmm, everything's working fine for me. No ads, Portal is fine, access to all my dailies.
Rather than sending in the form, have you tried calling? I bet if you got somebody over the phone, everything would work out a lot better.

Oh lord, that board is very confusing to read through. It sounds like some are fixing the problem by switching from paypal to credit card, which technically I could do, but I don't see the point as I shouldn't have lost premium in the first place. I'm not going to call them though, as it would be an international call.

What I just got from the boards:
If you are currnetly paying your premium accounts via paypal... even if you have not yet lost it, you will at the very next billing date. Neopets is no longer accepting paypal payments for their premium users. *thanx hacker punks*. I would suggest calling the premium hotline as I am doing right now, *have them on the line*, and either change your payments to cc or cancel.
The people that are still able to use their portals and are paying via paypal will lose their premium accounts without notice the day that their billing is due.
I will guarantee you that you will lose it the day your billing comes around if you don't call a tech about it before that date. This tech my wife has on the phone right now just told us that.
And as to where they're getting this info
I have a tech on the phone right now. They are no longer accepting paypal payments.

Well that's a little funky. I saw people posting that they had signed up in the last few days (and I think even today) with PayPal. Rather sounds like some issue asploded on TNT in the last couple of days.
Actually what I'm hoping for some day is a giftcard. I wanted to get premium for the kids of a couple friends of mine, but no way do I want their nosepicking friends going into their admin and seeing a shred of my info on there, lol.

Thank the heavens I use credit card to pay for my neopets premium or I would lose my account but that must suck for everyone else.

Oh okay, well that isn't much of a problem since I do have a credit card to use. I have my third referral coming in in a few days, and I'd hate to miss that paint brush :/
Edited to add: I found where to go and changed my billing, I now have my portal back and the ads are gone, yay! I'm skeptical though, because my card expires in February and the next billing cycle (it told me) is Feb 8th. Oh well, hopefully my new card will come in the mail before then so I can update the info and my paint brush will have already arrived...

If anyone knows how you can change your billing from paypal to credit card I would love to know
Because if I go to the change billing info in my user admin I get this:
